The team arrived at the scene. "The air nozzle is embedded in his ass cheek. I shut it off, but I was afraid to move him." The employee said to Bobby as he and the team went over to Hector. "Okay, Hector, can you hear me? All right hang in there buddy. All right, let's get him on his side. Maintain pressure on the wound. On three. One, two, three. Okay. Easy, easy." Bobby asked him. "It's a hundred pounds per square inch of air pumped through his entire body." Buck tells him. "Breathing's shallow, heart's racing. Air's filled his stomach, his chest, even behind his eyelids. I'm more concerned about the space around his heart and lungs." Hen tells Bobby. "Okay, Eddie, start a nasal cannula. Chimney, get him some morphine." Bobby tells the two. "I'm on it. It's like trying to inject a needle into stone." Chimney said as he does the morphine. "The pressure's pushing everything out. I can't even air through the nostril." Eddie said to them. "Jugular venous distention, tachycardia, hypotension, diminished breath, we're looking at tension pneumothorax." Vivienne said as Eddie looked over at her with an impressed look. "The air pressure is collapsing his organs. We need to get in there and drain the fluid. Buck, I need you to get a 14-gauge angiocath. We need to start decompressing the pleural cavity. All right, all right." Bobby said to the team. "Want me to help?" Eddie asked him. "I got it. Hang in there Hector." Bobby tells him. "I'd go lower." Eddie tells Buck. "What? Um, no. Second intercostal space. Midclavicular line." Buck tells Eddie. "The chest wall is thinner at the fifth intercostal at the anterior axillary line. There's a decreased chance of injuring any vital organs. I've-I've treated guys with collapsed lungs in combat." Eddie explained to Bobby. "Do it." Bobby said. "Please. Thank you. Can you help me out with the shirt?" Eddie said, as Buck started helping him with the shirt as Bobby, Vivienne, Chimney, and Hen watched the two. "That's it, Hector. Breathe, nice and slow." Bobby said as Hector started breathing again.
They got Hector on a gurney. "How you doing, Hector?" Chimney asked him as they load him into the ambulance. They heard him passing gas as Hector gave a thumbs up. "Pressure's got to go somewhere." Chimney said as he looked at Hen and Vivienne. "It always does." Vivienne said to her best friend. "That was a good call, Eddie." Bobby said as he patted Eddie on the shoulder. "Thanks, Cap." Eddie tells him. "Nice job, Eddie." Vivienne said softly as she got into the ambulance with Chimney and Hen. "Thanks, Vivi." Eddie said with a soft smile on his face as he watched after her. "Yeah. Good call." Buck said as he glared at him. Eddie looked after him confused.
The next day, Vivienne saw Buck working out in the gym at the firehouse and glared at Eddie who came in to do the punching bags. She decided to go over there and watched the two interact with one another. She saw Chimney come in as well. "Chimney, what are you doing?" She whispered to her best friend. "Nothing, Vinnie." He responds. He walks over to the two. Vivienne can tell that Buck is intimated by Eddie. Buck went to take pictures of himself for the calendar and Eddie went to talk to him. "You're in the wrong light, man." Eddie tells him. "Some of us don't need good lighting to look good." Buck tells him. Vivienne looks at Buck. "Buck, come on. He's just trying to help." Vivienne said trying to keep the situation from coming out of hand. "Hey, Eddie, what'd you mean by 'the wrong light'?" Chimney asked as Vivienne made her way over to her best friend and Eddie. "The light in this room is flat and blue. Makes you look soft. If you want to look lean and the muscles to pop, you need warm side light. I'll show you." Eddie said as he offered to Buck and Chimney. He goes to show Chimney and Vivienne the photos he sent for the calendar. "These are the ones I sent in for the calendar." Eddie said. "Whoa." Chimney said as he looked at the photos. "Damn." Vivienne said as she stared at the photo. "It's, uh, kinda cheating by submitting pictures by a professional photographer." Buck said with his voice full of jealousy. "The photographer's 12. She's my niece. She's a master at the iPhone filters." Eddie tells Vivienne and Chimney. "Your niece did this?" Chimney asked in amazement. "Yeah." Eddie said with a smile. "You think she'd be willing to take my submission pics for me? I'm told I photograph like an Asian Fabio." Chimney asked him. Vivienne giggles. "No one has ever told you that, Howie." Vivienne said as she giggled, causing Eddie to smile at her laugh. "Sure she would, yeah. Yeah." Eddie said with a smile as he looked at Vivienne. "Yeah?" Chimney asked him. "Ah, you know, you really shouldn't get his hopes up like that. No offense, Chim." Buck said as he lifts a piece of equipment. Vivienne glares at Buck. "Leave him alone, Buckley." Vivienne said to Buck before Chimney said anything . "What's your problem, man?" Eddie asked him as he went over to Buck. "Okay. You. You're my problem. Your comfort level. You're- you're not supposed to just walk in here like you've been here for years. It's meant-meant to be a getting-to-know-you period. You're meant to respect your elders." Buck said to Eddie. "You're not his elder, Evan." Vivienne snapped at Buck. Eddie turned to Buck. "Look, I in no way meant to, uh, be too familiar or step on anyone's toes. I know you're going through some personal stuff right now." Eddie tells Buck. Buck looks at him. "What personal stuff?" He asked him curiously. "I know your girlfriend recently broke up with you and you're coming to terms with that." Eddie said as Vivienne looked down at the ground and Chimney stopped working out. "No, I'm not. And she didn't break up with me. Who told you that?" Buck said as he sent a glare to the pair of best friends. "Do not glare at Vivi. She didn't tell me. I'm just saying I hear you're a good guy, and I'm sorry you're going through pain, but you don't need to take it out on me or be threatened by me. We're on the same team." Eddie tells him as he defends Vivienne. "Why would I be threatened by you?" Buck asked him. "Exactly. There's no need to be. We do the same thing. I've just done it while people are shooting at me is all." Eddie said as he walked away to check on Vivienne. "We're not broken up." Buck calls after him. "All right." Eddie said as he goes over to Vivienne. Buck sees Bobby watching him.
