Season 2 Episode 2: 7.1
Vivienne was helping her dad up in the kitchen making breakfast for the team. She placed a plate in front of Chimney. "You ever feel like you missed your calling, Cap? Vinnie?" He asked his best friend and her father. "What are you thinking? Michelin-rated restaurant or short ordered cook?" Bobby asked him. "I was thinking of a TV chef." Chimney tells him. "And me?" Vivienne asked her best friend. "Hmm. Model? Or an Actress." Chimney said to her. Vivienne gasped. "Hey!" Vivienne said as she throws a dish rag at her best friend. "I mean, what your dad does, it's like performance art." Chimney said to Vivienne as he ducks his head. "Mm-hm, and much like watching cooking on tv, we never get to taste anything. Usually by the time it hits the table, the bell goes off, unless Vi is cooking." Hen said as she held her plate. "All right, speed round. If you weren't doing this, what would you be doing?" Bobby said to them. "Fighter pilot. Top gun. Call sign: Shogun." Chimney said immediately. Vivienne and Hen laughs. "What about you, Hen?" Bobby asked Hen. "Editoral cartoonist, The New Yorker. I have a lot to say." Hen said to them. "You draw?" Bobby asked her. "No, it's a dream. It's not supposed to be attainable. Topgun? You can barely drive, you rebar head." Hen said as she teased Chimney. "Hey! All right, Buckaroo. If you were not a member of the LAFD, what would you be doing?" Chimney asked him. "Uh, I don't know. I'm not getting fired, am I?" Buck asked Bobby. "That's inevitable." Bobby said teasingly. "He'd be a golden retriever." Hen said teasingly. "No, a bartender. No, no, no, bouncer at a bar." Chimney said. "A bouncer at a strip club." Hen said to him. Vivienne glares at the two. "Really you two?" Vivienne asked them with a glare. "What's going on with you, kid?" Bobby asked Buck. "Just traffic sucks in this town unless your driving tens tons of engine with sirens. It took me almost two hours to get from Abby's place to the call center downtown then back over here. Just told Maddie to start Ubering." Buck said to them. "How's your sister settling down here?" Bobby asked him. "Well, she's a Buckley. Practically running the place." Buck said causing Hen and Chimney to stand up. Vivienne glares at them. "Really guys? What the hell?" She asked angrily.
Later they all get into the engines. Buck saw Eddie was trying to reach someone. "Is everything okay?" Buck asked him. "Yeah. There's no service. Texts won't even go through." Eddie said frustrated. "Who are you trying to get a hold of?" Vivienne asked him softly. Eddie contemplated telling them. "My son. I'm trying to reach my son." Eddie tells her softly. "Whoa, you got a kid?" Buck asked him. "Christopher. He's seven." Eddie said with a smile as he showed Buck and Vivienne a picture. "I love kids. He looks adorable. He takes after you." Vivienne said as she compliments Eddie. "And super adorable. I, uh, I love kids." Buck tells Eddie. "I love this one. I'm all he's got. His mother and I got a divorce bout a year ago." Eddie tells the two. "Is he at school?" Vivienne asked Eddie softly feeling a bit sad for Christopher for not having a proper mother figure. "Yeah." Eddie tells her. "Hey, I'm sure he's fine." Buck tells him softly.
They arrived at one of the buildings downtown. A hotel that was leaning on its side. They all got out of the truck. "Have you guys ever dealt with anything like this before?" Eddie asked the team. "No." Bobby answered him as they all looked up at the hotel. Vivienne noticed Hen paying attention to the family that was dragged out from the hotel. "They seriously think that's gonna hold it up?" Buck asked Bobby. "Let's go find the incident commander." Bobby tells his team. "Any word from Mom?" Vivienne asked her father, talking about Athena, who told the girl recently she could call her mom. "Haven't been able to get a hold of her." Bobby tells her. Vivienne looks over at Hen. "Have you been able to get a hold of Denny or Karen?" Vivienne asked her best friend. "No, I haven't." Hen said to her worried about her wife and son. "Cell phones are toast everywhere. The system must be overloaded." Vivienne said as they walked over to the incident commander.
