"Jaeyun struck again, have you seen the news?" He started, with a small sigh as I just gave a faint chuckle.
"Yeah, fifteen people this time, he just has an obsession with the number five, huh?" I looked at my ceiling, he had a specific way of killing people.
As in, the people he killed, was always a multiple of 5. It was never 6 people dead, never 12, it was always a multiple of 5.
That's how his massacres were identified easily, that, and the brutal way he kills people. He never will spare their suffering, instead, ensures that they leave in some of the most painful ways possible.
"The interpol has allowed us to go to the crime scene. If you're willing, you can tag along." My boss offered, and my eyes lit up, and I immediately, as quietly as possible, ran towards my room to get changed.
"Yeah, I will do. Just let me know when the car is here to pick me up." I multitasked, holding the phone to my ear with my shoulder, and trying to get my pants on without a struggle.
"No worries Hikari, see you soon." And with that, he ended the call.
I dropped my phone on the floor, careless, I was honestly rushing my way to getting changed again, I don't think I have ever been allowed on the crime scene of one of Jaeyun's sprees.
I have no idea why, because after all, I was the main reason why gangs like those were being took down and jailed.
But whatever, that's the past, I'm about to witness the scene for the first time in my life. And oddly, I felt more than excited, especially after hearing the ping from my phone, signalling that my ride was outside - waiting for me.
I ran down, out of my house and straight into the passenger's seat of the car, to my surprise, Jaewook had tagged along too.
"You're coming too?" I inquired, a small smile on my face as the adrenaline coursed through my veins.
"Come on, do you even know who we're talking about? It's the Sim Jaeyun, of course I wanna see this." Jaewook sped down the empty roads, sure, it was dark, and quiet, and a crime scene this late at night was particularly scarier, but still, it was exciting.
The second we reached the crime scene, we ran past the crowds that woke up, gathered around behind the police tape. I took out my badge, showing the police guarding around the crime scene, and heading under the tape, I made my way towards the actual place where the bodies were found.
My boss was there, and he immediately made his way over to us, shaking his head.
"Take a look at the corpses yourself. That man is relentless." He seemed evidently disturbed, but then again, our boss was rather sensitive, which is why he just gave commands, and didn't actually go through with anything I did.
Hurriedly, I grabbed some gloves, eagerly putting them on.
I spared no time to waste, heading over to one of the black body bags, and unzipping it on the ground. It revealed a man, very pale, face bruised, and as I lift his shirt up, I noticed a long stitch running down his torso.
Damn, they sowed the guy up too?
I pressed at the stitch in his torso, and his chest was shallow, meaning only one thing. They took his ribs out too.
Goosebumps ran over my skin, and a sickly feeling arose to my stomach, but despite that, I continued observing the wounds and the way his mafia deals with murdering people.
His clan had a very specific way of killing people, and again, it made it so obvious as to whether this was by Jaeyun's clan, or another clan.
I flipped his body over, so that he was facing the ground. I did feel like this was a little disrespectful, but either way, that wasn't my main priority at the moment.
The man had quite long hair, just below his shoulders. I moved his hair out of the way, and what I saw on his neck, stumped me a little.
It was a tattoo, of some sort. But as I traced my finger on the letter, I came to a quick realisation that it was a scar, a scar in the shape of the letters, 'S.J'.
I furrowed my brows, unzipping another body bag beside, and I tried to at least be slightly respectful, and only slightly turn the other body over, just so I could see the neck.
But one thing odd about that body, was that it didn't have the initials 'S.J' on it.
I looked over to Jaewook, and he had his back turned to all the body bags, looking away and gagging at all of this.
This is exactly why I'm the agent, and they just do the inside stuff.
