I quickly took a photo of the initials, engraved into this poor person's neck. And deciding that I've violated these corpses enough, I zipped the two up, taking my gloves off and throwing them into the trash.
My boss shuddered, looking at me approach him.
"I don't understand how you can be at ease like that Hikari, it disturbs me even seeing it in my peripheral." My boss turned around so he wasn't able to see the bodies at all, and I chuckled, walking in front of him.
"One of the guys had the initials, S.J, printed on his neck." I told him the discovery, and he turned his head to look over at me, furrowing his brows.
"Sim Jaeyun, it does make sense, but why just one?" He groaned, pressing his fingers against his forehead in thought.
Jaewook was too busy actually throwing up on the outside of the building.
"Not sure, the guy is a really evil motherfucker though, whether he does the killing or gets someone else to do it for him - it's a horrific way to die." I gave a light sigh, the forensics transporting the body bags away.
"God, it's a matter of time til his clan begins a spree on innocent people. We have barely any leads on this guy, how are we supposed to even attempt to track his movements down?" My boss was walking around in small circles.
I thought for a moment.
"Can't we get in contact with any relatives of the guy with the initials engraved into his neck? Surely the fact that only he had those initials, means that he must've been close or something to the clan." I mentioned, and my boss looked at me, his eyes sparkling at my idea.
He clicked his finger, pointing at me with a chuckle, and then he pat my shoulder.
"Damn Hikari, you're good." And with that, we walked out of the building, letting the forensics and police do their job.

THE NEXT MORNING
I made my way to my workplace, storming through the departments until I got to my division.
The news had spread quickly, and people were fearing to leave their house at this rate, scared that they will end up being on the news for that exact same reason too.
It was frustrating me, I couldn't do anything about this - people were dying left and right, and children couldn't even go out to play because who knows what may happen to them.
At this rate, I would rather sacrifice myself than have anyone else killed.
"Hey Hikari-" One of my colleagues attempted to greet me, and some others did too, but I was too annoyed with this case to even reply back, let alone crack a smile.
I made my way straight into my boss' office, if he wasn't going to appoint me to this case, I'll appoint myself.
"Hikari." He said, the look in his eyes a little concerned at the frustration I stormed in with, "What's the matter?"
"The matter is that people are dying out there Yongpil, kids can't go outside, people don't even want to go shopping because they're scared. Someone needs to shut this motherfucker down, and you're doing absolutely nothing." Exasperated, I let it all out, even addressing him on a namely-basis.
Yongpil gave a light sigh, looking down to his desk before looking back up at me.
"Hikari, I understand you're irritated, but you're our best agent. We can't lose you because there's nobody out there who does it like you." He flattered me with his words for a moment, but that didn't manage to convince me to drop it.
"So you'll just let him go on a rampage of murders? I'm the best agent, so I should be assigned with this case, because I am probably the only one who has a chance at solving it." I crossed my arms, and placed my leg over my other.
My boss rubbed his face with his hands, not really wanting to budge, but he knew that I was right, and he knew that I get everything I want.
"You could die on this mission, and you might not even get to the end of it." Yongpil gave a light groan, still trying to convince me, but I had already settled my mind on this.
"I won't die. You know I'm better than this." I furrowed my brows, just needing to hear the words of approval from him.
"Give me a moment to think Hikari, god, you're so difficult." He murmured to himself as he closed his eyes.
I chuckled at his comment, me and my boss had a friendly work relationship. He knew since the day I started working here, that I was a very stubborn, and difficult girl, and one thing about me that he grew quickly to know - was that I always get my way.
Just like this case, I'm going to make sure that Sim Jaeyun is weak in my grasp.
