→I quickly walked away from the kitchen, picking up my bag and walking to the front door to get the first sight of Jay's reaction to this mess.
But to my own surprise, Jay wasn't the one who entered the house first.
My face dropped, immensely.
Jake walked in, and stopped right at the door. He had a white bandage wrapped over the left side of his chest.
Jay came in behind him, carrying a bag. He stood right next to Jake, in equal shock as the guys came in, standing somewhat beside me.
"Are you fucking joking me." Were the first words that came from Jake's lips. And despite those were the words of his, I was overjoyed to even hear his voice, more so to see him standing and alive.
His face was still slightly pale, and lips a subtle hint of purple, but as long as he's alive, I'm fine with this.
I'm pretty sure we were all in shock at how Jake was even here.
"I leave you guys with the house for a couple of hours and you turn this shit into a coke lab?" Jay let out a laugh, shaking his head as Jake just looked around for a moment, then turned to look at me.
"Flour lab, actually." Sunghoon, of course, had to correct him.
While Jay was scolding the guys and lecturing them how to clean this up, Jake came up to me swiftly, his hands around my waist and engulfing me in such a large hug.
I could feel those tears I held again, building up before my eyes. It wasn't ones of sadness, just out of pure relief, knowing that he was here, and he made it out.
His grip was firm around me, and I just buried my head into the side of his chest that wasn't bandaged, embracing the comfort he brings to me.
I looked up at him, and he, down, at me.
"I'm sorry, I am so fucking sorry baby." His hands held my cheeks, moving the tears with his thumb.
He pulled me into a bittersweet kiss, one the two of us yearned for. It took the two of us way too long to realise our feelings for each other, but with the near experience with death, I suppose it sped us up to where we were supposed to be.
The colour came back to his face a gradual amount, and the life in his eyes returned once more, I couldn't of been more grateful.
"It's okay, you're fine, it'll be all okay now." I gently placed my hand on the side of his chest where he was shot, and he held my hand in his, a gentle smile on his face.
"I owe you everything Hikari, everything. Everything that's yours, is mine. Fuck, I love you." He gave me another kiss, a quick one, but it was sweet enough to make me smile too wide.
"I love you too Jake." I responded, feeling the warmth inside my body once more.
I let him go and greet his best friends, who were all currently staring at the floor in shame after Jay scolded them.
"Alright guys, no need to look like your mother just shouted at you." Jake chuckled at them, the guys began greeting Jake with smiles on their faces like never seen before.
"Took you long enough." Jungwon chuckled, patting him on the back.

After a sweet little reunion, I made my way over to Jake's room, where he was sat inside, scrolling on his phone on the edge of his bed.
He was shirtless, the large bandage wrapped around the left side of his chest was rather painful to look at, but on the brightside, he was well and alive.
I shut the door behind me, walking in as he turned to look at me. Sitting beside him, he threw his phone to the side and just stared at me, taking in my face as if he's this is the first time he's seen me before.
"How are you fee-" I wanted to ask him the basic questions of course, but he clearly had a different idea.
"Be my girlfriend, Hikari, I don't think I was right in the head when I told you not to love me." Jake swiftly changed the topic in seconds, and I didn't even manage to process what he just said to me.
But regardless, a smile curved on my face, and I leant my head on his warm shoulder.
"I like how you still asked even though you know the answer." I chuckled, and he put his arm around me, pulling me closer to him as we just sat there, soaking up this warm moment between us.
It's been a long time without Jake, and some days, I begin to feel like there was no point of waiting because of the state he was in.
"I'm sorry Hikari, I don't think I can ever forgive myself for allowing you to let me die." Jake gave a solemn sigh, "When I saw you on that day, try and save me, I realised that you're my purpose."
"You don't need to remind yourself of those days Jake, it's been a while, so how about we focus on the present?" I looked up at him, and he held my face in his hand, pulling me into another kiss, one that made all the hardships worth it.
