"What about my friends? Did they jump forward in time?" Jin didn't understand what was happening to himself, let alone to his friends.
Milly thought about this for a second. "I don't know if they noticed time passed or not. You either disappeared for more than a little while, or they haven't noticed any changes. I'm not entirely sure how this works."
This was messed up. So either Jin went missing all of a sudden or... He didn't know how the second theory would even work. Was there a different version of him that had lived with them? Did they have fake memories of him? Did they even remember him?
"I'm sorry I don't know more." Jin was shaken out of his thinking.
"Did you experience this too?" He asked her.
Milly shook her head no. "Not like this. And even if I did, I still wouldn't be able to tell you."
Jin frowned. "Why not?"
"Because the people I'm involved with couldn't care less either way. I wouldn't know if they just don't care about me, or if they genuinely didn't notice because of this 'magic' that controls us."
Quietness filled the room. Seeing her shift uncomfortably, Jin cleared his throat and looked away.
"I'm sure they would notice. And if not: I would like to have a word with them." He succeeded in getting a smile from Milly.

They needed to come up with a plan.
Staring at the whiteboard, with her hands on your hips, Milly got an idea. "It should be somewhere around here..." Mumbling she rummaged through some drawers.
Jin watched her in curiosity.
"Aha!" Milly held up a city map triumphantly. Handing it to Jin, who stood next to the whiteboard, she explained. If they could pin the clues to their location, it would help organise some of the mess.
"Where are you going first?" Milly asked.
Jin turned to her with a disappointed look on his face. "You are going with me, I thought we discussed this?"
Sighing, she looked at him. "Yeah, but that was before everything went wrong."
"That was hardly your fault. I am not doing this without you, I can't."
After asking him if he was sure two more times, Milly gave in.
"Let's go back to our hang-out. Although, probably none of them are attending school anymore." Jin eventually answered her previous question.
"It's worth a try. We need to start somewhere."
And when the plan was set, they got ready and left.

Not surprisingly, no one was there when Milly and Jin entered the room. There was a thick layer of dust on the ground and the remaining furniture, indicating no one had been inside for quite some time.
Just as Jin was about to be disappointed, Milly crouched to the ground and picked up a piece of paper. "If you're not a coward, come and find me Jungkook." She read aloud and found an address on the back.
Jin walked over and examined the writing. "It looks like Yoongi's handwriting."
Unlike the surroundings, the state of the note was fairly new. "Looks like he threw it inside and left. There were no footprints on the floor." Milly observed.
"We got our first clue, what do you want to do?" She asked him.
Jin decided they would check the address left by Yoongi. "We can always come back here." He said and walked to the door.
Once they were outside, Milly stopped Jin. "Do you mind if I switch to my cat form? The last time he saw me as a person, things didn't go too well."
He agreed with a smile. It was up to her really, he shouldn't tell her what to do unless necessary.

It was quite a relaxing stroll they were on.
That was, until, Milly ran off.
Jin hadn't realised just how fast cats could run before he witnessed her dash away. "Hey wait!" His yelling didn't stop her, but she appeared to slow down a little. Jin had no choice but to follow her.
Luckily, it was fairly quiet on the streets. He easily spotted Milly a few feet ahead, turning right into an alleyway. Panting, Jin stopped next to the cat. "Milly, you can't just- oh..."
As he looked up, his eyes met with Jungkook's.
They both stared at each other for a moment, Milly silently watching them. "Kookie..." Jin started but was cut off by him.
"Do not call me that." His voice was firm, or at least, he was trying to be.
"You disappeared, dropped off the face of the earth, I thought you had died! You're just gonna pretend that didn't happen?" Jungkook looked from Milly to Jin and scoffed. "Got yourself some pet, did you? Got married while you were at it perhaps?" He was not pleased at all. On the contrary, he was feeling quite bitter.

Jin was speechless for a second. So he really had disappeared for the year they had time jumped. He vanished without a goodbye or reason. How on earth was he gonna explain this?
"She isn't just some pet, Jungkook. I am not married, I just wanted to help you!" Jin desperately tried to clarify.
Judging from Jungkook's scoff, it didn't help. "Help me? Get lost Seokjin." He spat and turned away from them.
Jin already felt lost, ever since this whole thing started. The walls around them started to Crack and the ground started to shake.
Milly morphed into her human form and softly grabbed Jin's arm. He looked at her with trembling eyes. She gave him a sympathetic smile just before the world shattered into darkness.
