"The hospital! Of course!"
The shout of Jin contrasted with the comfortable vibe harshly.
Milly jumped on the ground and changed back to her human form. Her eyes were wide and her tail jerked back and forth.
"Sorry!" Jin quickly apologised and walked to the whiteboard, marking another location.
Milly swiftly wiped the pout from her face when Jin turned to face her.
"This might be where Jimin is. It just came to me. That was one inspirational cuddle session!" He excitedly exclaimed, putting his hands on his hips. Jin didn't notice Milly's inner debate to laugh or blush at his statement.
That moment made Milly freeze, the smile she previously wore disappearing. Luckily for her, Jin had turned back and was studying the whiteboard again.
She just realised something.
Jin wasn't like her brother at all. He smelled different for a reason. Not just because they were closer. Her tail swished through the air, her nose twitched and her ears moved. Jin was the one her cat side had chosen as her mate. The colour drained from her face.
To put it simply, her cat side was in love. Now, Milly's human side was very conflicted at this. Humans are more complex in the love department it seems.

Milly turned around and busied herself with preparing to leave. Figuring out her feelings would have to wait. There were more pressing matters to address.
"Coming?" Jin was standing in the doorway. He noticed how quiet Milly was when she bobbed her head.
"You okay? You've been quiet since we got up."
Rubbing her neck, Milly grimaced. "Sorry, still a little tired."
Jin narrowed his eyes at her but nodded. He walked outside and Milly closed the door behind them. She shook her thoughts away and joined Jin.
They were heading to the hospital Jin had pointed out. It was the furthest they had walked 'till now, but neither of them minded.

"Do you know where to go, or do we need to ask the receptionist?" Milly quietly asked Jin as they walked through the entrance of the hospital.
Jin's eyes scanned the halls. "I think I know where to go; some of us visited him once. Let's hope he's still in the same room if he's here." He explained.
They walked through corridors and climbed several stairs. Milly briefly doubted if really Jin knew the way, but they eventually came to a halt in front of a room.
"Here we are." Jin squinted his eyes at the little nameplate next to the door. With a nod, he confirmed that this was the right room. "Maybe you should go first," He suggested, "in case he immediately shuts the door in my face."
Milly wanted to protest, to tell him he could do it. But Jin's eyes were nearly begging her to agree, so she did.

Knocking softly on the wooden door, Milly took a deep breath and mentally crossed her fingers. Jin had moved out of sight, a little to her left.
The door opened just a tad. Jimin peeked through the little gap. Milly tried her best to look friendly. "Hi, Jimin."
"Who are you? What do you want?" Although he tried to hide it, his voice shook a little. Whether it was from fear or disdain, they couldn't tell.
"I'm just here to talk to you if that's alright." The calmness in her voice didn't seem to affect Jimin.
"And what if it isn't?" He challenged.
Milly wasn't sure what to say. She had to be careful. "Then I'll leave. I won't force you to listen to me. But, there is someone with me who would like to see you."
It definitely caught his interest but he was still hesitant. Jimin stared at Milly for a moment. "Did my mom send you?"
Milly shook her head at him. She looked over at Jin and signalled him over.
Even through the little gap, they could see Jimin's eyes widen.
Jin held up his hand in an awkward greeting. "Can we come in?" Jin asked him.
It took a second, slowly but surely the door opened all the way.
Milly and Jin stepped inside the hospital room, Jimin closing the door behind them.

The first few seconds were kind of uncomfortable, the three of them just standing around.
The room wasn't bad per se, but it wasn't very likeable either. Nothing could hide the fact that it was still a hospital. Situated in the middle of the room was an ordinary hospital bed, complete with sturdy railings on either side. Adjacent to it on the right side was a small table with an accompanying chair, the perfect spot for a visitor to sit and keep the 'patient' company. On the left side was another door, which was most likely the entrance to a bathroom or a closet. The wall behind the bed had some cupboards that blended seamlessly with the room's decor, practical but depressing.

"Where have you been?"
Even to Milly's cat ears it was faint, but Jin had heard Jimin nonetheless.
He was quiet for a minute, trying to figure out what to answer.
"He helped me." Milly didn't know why she was interfering in the matter. She had said it before she could take it back. "I needed help. And Jin was kind enough to lend me a hand."
It wasn't a complete lie. He had helped her out of the apartment after all and made her feel less lonely. Even though the circumstances were less than ideal. Milly was still thankful. She could see Jin had caught up on that, as he sent her a quick smile.
Jimin, however, was not on the same page. "For a whole year? And without telling us?" He sounded sceptical.
Milly didn't blame him, it sounded ridiculous.
"It's more complicated than that, too much to explain," Jin said. "I would never leave like that otherwise, you know me." He looked at Jimin seriously, trying to show he was being truthful.
The scoff that Jimin let out was intense in the small room. "Yeah, I thought I knew you... Until you left. Now who is to say that I do?"
The hush after told everyone enough. The conversation was over. Jin's shoulders slumped in defeat as he noticed the Cracking around the room.
Putting her hand on his back in comfort, Milly smiled sadly at him. "At least you were right about his location. We'll get it right eventually. I won't let you end up like me."
The world broke into a thousand pieces after they took a last glance at an even more confused Jimin.
