"Saan ka galing?" sita ni Alec kay Elize. Nawala bigla ang antok at seryosong sumunod ng tingin.

"Sa kuwarto? Hindi mo nakita?"

Tumayo na si Alec kasabay ko at umupo sa kabisera ng mesa.

"Nag-jogging ka sa labas, ng nakagan'yan?" Naka-croptop kasi si Elize at leggings.

Pinanood ko silang dalawa. Nakatutok ngayon ang atensyon ni Alec kay Elize.

"Huwag ka ng lalabas ng gan'yan ang ayos mo," banta ni Alec.

"Itay, ikaw ba 'yan?" joke ni Elize.

Sinulyapan ako ni Elize ng ngrereklamo kaya pasimple lang akong nagtaas ng balikat at tahimik na kumain ng almusal.

"Trish, I'm going."

"Sir, may nag-deliver ng parcel just now. Should I just put it on your table?"

Kumunot ang noo ko habang binubuksan ang parcel.

"Isn't that our supplier from yesterday's meeting?" Trish asked.

I opened up the envelope and saw everything signed and arranged. Naiinis kong inabot ang documents kay Trish.

"Wow, Sir, congratulations! You're really good at negotiating," Trish said excitedly. "I wonder what you did this time."

I left the room annoyed. I still can't believe what that girl did yesterday.

I don't like working dirty. I even had a hard time sleeping last night thinking how she did it!

I went inside the meeting room and Ms. Del Valle's nowhere. Si Ameera ay kausap ni Alec sa kabilang group.

Can't I have a better day than this? Please?

I cleared my throat and everyone acknowledged me. As expected, Ameera looked but she immediately turned back after Alec called her attention again. Naiinis akong umupo sa table namin.

I looked back at Ameera when she stayed with Alec. She's still busy nodding to Alec while he's pointing things at the laptop's monitor.

"Miss Sin, can we work now?" I called.

"Ah, Sir–"

"It's okay, Miss Ameera. Thank you for your time," Alec said after glaring at me.

"Are you done with your part?" I immediately asked when she sat beside me.

She awkwardly opened her laptop that she carried from the other table and showed it to me. I sighed annoyingly, Alec already knew her ideas.

"Print this and submit it to me," utos ko.

"Yes, Sir."

I caught Alec looking at us so I stopped her.

"Wait, let me see that again." I pointed the monitor as I moved closer to her. "Change the subject... And this..."

She locked her eyes on me as she paid attention to what I was saying. I almost mumble and eat my words in return.

Her idea is not that bad. The more I read her project the more I'm getting interested in teaching her how to submit it properly.
