It's been a month since Lisa and Cecily left...
But, fuck.
Fuck.
I thought.
Lisa had mentioned something about a light appearing out of nowhere a month ago, right before they left. She said their city was hit, like a row of explosions. It must've been carpet bombing, but the trail of light she described made me think of an ICBM strike.
That goddess might've pulled another modern country into this world. I should've kept Cecily by my side, at least to get a warning if we were about to get nuked back to the Stone Age.
However, none of that had shown up, at least not on the surface. No country, capable of carrying out a MAD doctrine or nuclear threats, could wipe out a nation into nuclear wastelands-except for us. I bit my finger, staring at the report I had just received.
At least not in this world.
Did that bitch, Alvera, fuck up? I thought.
I glanced at the photos on my desk, the reports detailing something ridiculous.
"Is this possible?" I muttered, as I read about the fourth planet of this world. Next to Pandora, codenamed Neo Mars by the document, this world called it Euclid. It was another super-Earth like Pandora, and it appeared to have artificial satellites orbiting it.
Not counting, there was one satellite in orbit right now, we aren't aware until recently - and for sure, it wasn't ours.
Whoever they were, they must've spotted us first. Lisa's dream... It had to be some kind of orbital bombardment, if these the enemies were summoned or controlled by Alvera, flashing in her dreams.
Now they're telling me to begin a war with a potential modern country, one that has heads-up in rockets and satellites in orbit?
I leaned back in my seat.
Then, someone entered my office.
It was Nathan.
"Situation report on their surrender?" I asked him.
"Everyone but three countries in Kashim has surrendered and is willing to be annexed," he replied.
"What about these three?"
"We're deploying military forces to subjugate them," he responded.
And here it was, we'd stopped the war against Kashim. Alvera had already seen us, knew what was up, so there was no point in trying to follow the original timeline of the bloody war on the eastern continent. We opened the negotiation table, and Kashim had instantly took the opportunity and surrendered. But some of the member states didn't want to fold that easily.
"What about the others?"
"We've already got seven countries in the unaffiliated north that accepted our terms, and they're slowly being assimilated-replacing their rulers or granting them federal noble ranks," he said.
"Valur?"
"We're doing our best," he said. "But there's no point in delving into them at the moment."
Yeah, right. He's making backdoor deals as of now. As for Norvoga's side, I didn't even bother asking for peace. Technically, we're still at war with them. It seems Zava's forces left the eastern continent, and their navy is all but bark at this point. They didn't even try to raid our seas. Their fleet is stationed in Kashim, so we never had a naval battle after the initial one at Marjorie. As for Marjorie, there's no need for negotiation. They've already ceased to exist, anyway.
