“Holy Sanctium Empire! Five battleships, eight small ships, and an aircraft carrier!”
“Let me see.”
“Oh, what the heck is this year’s conference!?”
Murmurs of disbelief rippled through the control tower.
The shadow of two Victoria-subclass battleships moved in formation—210 meters in length and weighing 30,000 tons of steel. Armed with three triple 16-inch guns at the front, the bridge positioned further back, with 4 203 twin naval guns, 12 quadruple 40mm autocannon mounts, and plethora of 20mm autocannons and machine gun class throughout the ship — they resembled the British Nelson class. Their design screamed forward, no retreat for Bronto. Following closely were three other ships—slimmer, leaner, and just as formidable. The Vanguard-class battlecruisers, almost identical to the United States Des Moines class heavy cruisers, displaced 20,000 tons at full load. They were armed with three twin 11-inch naval guns and a deadly array of 18 double 20mm autocannons, eight quadruple 40mm guns, and six twin 76mm turrets. A hedgehog of firepower, though significantly smaller than the Gra Valkan Grade Alastar.
Trailing them were eight smaller ships, compact yet heavily armed. Each bristled with single and double mounts of 20mm and 40mm guns, five single 5-inch guns as their primary armament, and a center filled with torpedo tubes—unknown to Bronto but clearly menacing. Lastly, the convoy’s final ship—a colossal 245 meters long, displacing 31,000 tons—was an aircraft carrier. The deck was brimming with biplanes, capable of carrying up to 60 aircraft in the surface, slowly advancing as part of the massive parade of warships.
Bronto stood silent, again struck by awe. This fleet was like the mechanical version of the Zeroth Fleet—an armada of powerful capital ships, alien to Milishial, and a reminder of the military might the Holy Sanctium Empire wielded.
“This is truly out of this world,” Bronto remarked as he kept watch for the final country’s ships on the horizon. “An attention-worthy experience,” he muttered, his eyes narrowing as gray ships began to emerge. Unlike the others, they lacked thick plumes of smoke, their shining designs reflecting on his binoculars radiating sophistication.
“Interesting,” he murmured, captivated by their almost Milishial magic ship like appearance—sleek, clean, and reminiscent of stealth vessels back on Earth.
“That flag! Cignus Federation!”
“Two battleships and two cruisers!”
“Chief, they’re almost like our magic ships!”
“Did they excavate relics of the Ancient Sorcerous Empire too?!” Voices in the control tower were filled with disbelief as the fleet approached in an orderly formation.
Leading the fleet were two BBGX-class battleships, now renamed the Cignite class. Each measured 215 meters in length, displacing 19,530 tons of steel. Armed with three twin 12-inch guns, three twin 75mm turrets, two single 20mm turrets, eight 14.7mm machine guns, ten manpad mounts, and 148 vertical launch system (VLS) cells scattered across the bow and stern, their design prioritized firepower and lethality, though they lacked a helicopter pad.
The ships cut through the waves with a graceful thrust, their polished profiles sparking a sense of familiarity in the Mirishial observers. Their resemblance to Milishial’s magic ships made them all the more intriguing. Trailing behind were two Retribution-class destroyers, each 137 meters long and displacing over 10,000 tons of steel. Despite being classified as destroyers, their armament rivaled that of cruisers—four twin 155mm guns, 11 single 40mm autocannons, and two navalized 36 tube 122mm dual-use anti-surface rocket launchers.
“Their battleships aren’t as imposing as Gra Valkas’s or Sanctium’s,” Bronto commented honestly, “but they’re certainly worthy of being invited here. If we were to create a new superpower ranking, they’d easily make the top five strongest nations in this world.”
