A gigantic wave hit our ship, water spreading on the floor, hugging the ground. The sailor immediately worked to get the boat on track, but the water is slowly eating it up.
Kai pulled me from the cabin. "Hurry up! We're gonna die if you keep going that slow!" Kai growled, basically dragging me over to the deck.
He cut the ropes of the mast, letting the ship flow with the waves. He pulls me back to him just as I almost fell with the harsh waves.
"What the hell is happening?!" I called, Kai doesn't respond instead shouts something to the sailor who nodded and lowered the emergency rafts.
Kai looks at me, giving me a dagger which is not mine. He looks at my eyes with his stormy like the clouds above, his expression grave serious.
"Stay here. Hold onto the mast, I will get supplies." Kai opened my palm and put the mast's rope in before closing my palm shut.
Along with some other guys, Kai took supplies out of the cabin, the ship is slowly sinking, I am trembling and shivering with the wind hugging me and whispering crude words instead of comforting ones.
Kai is drenched, his clothes clinging to his body, but I do not care. He wraps his wet arms around my waist and takes the dagger from my hand. He stuffs it in his boot and tightens his hold onto me while running over to the bow with me almost being dragged by him.
"What are you gonna do?!" I shout, but it is like he cannot hear me. The storm has quickly conquered the once blue sky, turning it into a depressing shade of gray.
"Hold on!" That was the last warning I got before he held onto the rope that is tied on the bow, jumping to the ocean with me in his arms.
The cold liquid swallowed us whole, I can't swim. I can't breathe. I can't move. But light quickly appears in my vision as me and Kai raise up the water.
He lifts me onto the raft first before getting on himself. He has brought a rope, another dagger, cloth and wood inside of a barrel.
Kai handed me a dagger. "Use this when you see something suspicious. There are sharks lurking around this place, just keep calm." He said with a soft voice that reminds me of the voice my father uses whenever I get nightmares.
The cold air is making me shiver. The thunder claps above, laughing at the sight of me. Thunder before has always cheered for me, but this time it intends to hurt me.
Kai is visibly shaken too but he is not showing it. Just his eyes does. He must've noticed my shaking form and so he wraps his arms around me. Cold but comfortable.
He holds me for what feels like forever. What I hope is forever. Him and me, under the mocking sky, embraced in one another's arms. Kai. . .
