Paedyn is protected in her cabin, imperials guarding the outside of her room. But a tingling feeling is bothering me, I know she isn't safe.
After all, the kingdom cannot accept a queen who is a mere ordinary. They will do their all to overthrow her. And when that happens, the blame will be on us. Me and Kitt.
I love Paedyn, but I need to hate her. It is better than suffering for the rest of my life knowing the girl I love is with the man I am destined to serve my whole life.
"Your Highness, her majesty requests an audience with you in her room." An imperial politely bowed and told me.
"Tell her I will be there." The sea is making me seasick. All I want is to throw up but I have duties, and so I spoke.
The imperial nodded and walked out of my lodge, leaving me alone in my room. Perhaps it is the fierce beauty I see in her that has made me long for her.
I long for her heart. I am selfish. You just have to wait. Paedyn Gray. I will save you from the king. You need to be happy and I will gladly let you go once I have freed you from the king.
Even if it would cost me an arm and a leg, literally. My mind cannot decide whether to betray my brother or continue pushing away the girl I love.
I got up, walking to Paedyn's room. "What is it that you bother me at such inconvenient time?" My voice is not with disdain rather annoyance, shadowing the pained longing beneath.
"You weren't doing anything." Paedyn scoffed. Well, I had been thinking about her, it counted as something.
"Anyways, I called for you here to let you know, I do not want to go back to Ilya." Paedyn's stubborn voice mixes with a pleading one.
"Why don't you want to stay there?" I say.
"Because I want to be away from Ilya for now. . ." Said Paedyn.
"Give me a reasonable reason and I'll think about it." I said before walking out and returning to my chambers to finally rest after a long exhausting day.
