A/N: Woww we've reached 300 votes! I'm like, excited to share the last few chapters, but also dreaded at the same time, because, I don't want this book to end. It's been so fun writing and editing this book, it's such a hard thing to let go 😂

It was the day of the school dance. Girls all around the school were spending hours at home getting ready. Boys on the other hand were surrendering to the reality of going to an event they could not back out of. After all, such an event is usually the night of boys' nightmares and the night of girls' dreams, but nonetheless, a night to remember.

Eleanor was the first to get ready out of the three sisters, not applying any makeup except for lipstick. She showed her spring green dress to her sisters, gaining their nods of approval.  Meanwhile, Theodore was getting ready with his outfit, with Simon helping him to adjust his bowtie.

"Aren't you excited for tonight?" Theodore asked naively upon seeing his brother's glum expression.

"I'm not so fond of tonight, but I just hope that Jeanette manages to see me." Simon sighed, finishing with Theodore's tie.

"What do you mean manage to see you? You mean you're going to be invisible?" Theodore asked cluelessly.

"Never mind, Theodore. It's... An expression." Simon explained briefly, before beginning to settle his own outfit.

"Boom! Now the party don't start 'til I walk in! Check it out boys, how do I look?" Alvin revealed himself in a red tuxedo, having changed in the bathroom.

"Are you sure you're a date expert? Because what if you and Jeanette aren't wearing the same matching colour? Isn't that, like, essential in a couple?" Simon asked, being the date virgin he was.

"Ah my brother, I'm not into that matching stuff. It's lame. don't know why many girls like it so much." Alvin shuddered.

After they all got ready, they waited patiently in the living room.

"Honestly, why do girls have to take so long?" Alvin complained.

"Patience is a virtue, Alvin." Simon rolled his eyes.

"I bet your date is taking the longest." Alvin huffed an irked sigh.

"Shut up, Alvin. It just shows how dedicated she is in trying to impress her love interest." Simon eyed him, but Alvin did not take the hint.

Concurrently, Brittany and Jeanette were both bickering as Brittany was the last one to get ready.

"Come on, Brittany. The chipmunks are waiting up on us." Jeanette groaned.

"Where did you get that dress?" Brittany scowled, looking at Jeanette's flowery dress and the purple flower in Jeanette's hair which was styled in her usual bun.

"Does it matter where I got this dress?" Jeanette looked back at her with knitted brows.

"Yes, because, it's horrible." Brittany provoked.

"It... Is?" Jeanette asked, Brittany's hurtful words like knives piercing through her heart.

Brittany softened upon looking at Jeanette's self-esteem drop, realising she had gone too far in quarrelling with her sister. She looked down, guilt-ridden.
