"Does that answer your question?" She inquired, her eyes twinkling under the moonlight.

"Yes, yes it does." Simon held her hand, leading her off the bench as they decided to return to the dance.

When they arrived, they were instantly greeted by Alvin and Brittany, who also had their hands intertwined.

"Alright, students. Please, gather for our waltz." The principal announced with her foreign accent.

"So, I see that you're all good now?" Eleanor asked, coming along with Theodore.

"Yes, we are." Brittany smiled in Alvin's direction.

"Eleanor? Would you care to dance?" Theodore asked Eleanor, before taking her hand as she giggled in agreement, and the two danced away.

"So... Who do I dance with? Since..." Jeanette trailed off, looking around.

"It's up to you, Jeanette." Simon stated.

"Yeah. I'm, well... I'll get over it, I'm sure. Because, maybe Brittany isn't that bad of a person after all." Alvin assured Jeanette with a smile.

"In that case, Alvin? May I have this dance for one night?" Jeanette invited.

The two boys shared a look with each other, before agreeing to the girl's decision. Alvin took Jeanette's hand and led her to the dance floor, leaving Simon, who took Brittany's hand maturely to a dance.

"Why'd you still pick to dance with me? I'm a horrible date." Alvin asked after some time.

"You may be a horrible date, no offence," Jeanette giggled softly, "but you're still a great friend."

"I'm now Simon's, I've made my choice. But I want to make sure you don't feel left out." Jeanette added, warming Alvin's heart with the fact that she still cares as a friend.

"Simon is lucky to have a girl who puts her friends before herself." Alvin sighed, twirling her around to the slow music.

"But maybe I could be lucky to have another who cares for me." He reflected, looking at Brittany dancing with Simon.

"How about we switch? I want to see if I feel a connection with Brittany." Alvin suggested, with a real smile this time.

"No hard feelings?" Jeanette clarified.

"None at all." Alvin assured maturely, having learned from his blue-clad brother.

"Okay." Jeanette agreed, and the two waltzed their way to Simon and Brittany, gesturing for a switch in partners.

"Why did she want to switch?" Brittany asked Alvin as she danced in his arms.

"Actually, it was me. I want to dance with you." Alvin confessed, warming Brittany's heart.

Upon seeing a sincere smile form on the princess's face, Alvin could feel his heart speeding up as an effect. It hit like a sledgehammer when Brittany rested her head on his chest, causing Alvin to feel warm inside. It was a good difference from how Jeanette made him feel. Jeanette made Alvin feel calm, but Brittany made him feel extraordinary. Perhaps he never noticed this because Brittany had never revealed her true feelings for him. But now she was, and this was when things changed for Alvin.

"So, I see you want to dance with me now?" Simon smirked, looking down on his girlfriend as they danced.

"Alvin's fine with it. So, why not?" Jeanette giggled.

"Oops, sorry. I-" Jeanette apologised after stepping on Simon's feet, "I'm not that great at dancing."

"Jeanette... Just follow my lead." Simon smirked down at her, making her heart flutter.

The two of them were now silent, moving rhythmically with the slow beat of the music.

"Um, Jeanette?" Simon suddenly spoke, catching her attention.

"Yes Simon?" Jeanette responded.

Simon looked at her hesitantly.

"Do you know why I chose the name Ammon?" He asked, twirling her around.

"Why?" Jeanette asked back curiously, before Simon slowly pulled her close to him, looking her in the eyes.

"It means secret in Hebrew." Simon revealed.

This only made Jeanette's heart warm all over again, causing her to break into a huge grin.

"Simon, I never knew you could be so romantic. You really surprised me tonight." She bit her lip shyly.

"There's a lot of things you never knew about me." Simon winked, but reverted back to his shy ways when his cheeks reddened.

"You're not the same as Alvin, but I love how romantic you can be in your own brainiac ways." Jeanette admitted, planting a peck on his cheek.

"Aw, t-thanks, Jeanette." Simon stammered, all embarrassed from her touchy gesture.

And they all kept dancing through the night, feeling contented that they have achieved what they all wanted - Brittany getting noticed by the boy of her dreams, Alvin receiving the love he never thought was there, Simon achieving the girl he's always wanted, and Jeanette having found the mystery boy she's been meaning to find all along.
