Freefall (Kakashi HatakeXOC Part1)

"This is the end."

A silence hung in the air for a moment, before Naruto says in amazement,

"Wow!"

Zabuza only laughs quietly to himself, then says,

"Is this the end? You don't understand. You can't defeat me with just your indiscriminate imitations. I can assure you that."

He laughs quietly again,

"But you're pretty good. I see that you've copied my water clone technique when you said, I won't let anyone on my team die. By making your clone speak as if it was the real one, you diverted my attention to the clone...while the real one used the Mist Concealment technique to hide and observe my movements. However..."

The Zabuza in front of Kakashi fell to a puddle of water, another clone. Then the real one appeared behind Kakashi,

"I'm not that easy to defeat."

"That one's a fake too!" Naruto points out.

Kakashi ducks just as Zabuza swung his word at him, I let out a breath of relief. He had really cut it close there, one more second and he would have gotten hit by the blade for sure.

As Zabuza's sword hits the ground, he immediately pulls it back and goes for another swing at Kakashi, who had his back turned from the previous attack.

It was then I heard leaves crunching behind me, I pulled out a kunai and spun around just as another Zabuza was raising his sword. I jump out of the way, and the sword slams into the ground. I steadied myself while saying,

"That was a dirty trick."

The clone Zabuza laughs quietly, then replies,

"As fun as it would be to kill you, you go for a higher price in the bingo book alive."

I heard a loud splashing sound from behind me, one of them had gotten knocked into the water. And from the sounds that came from the Genin, it was Kakashi. I glanced behind myself to see that my silver haired partner was now trapped in a water prison, the Zabuza in front of me says,

"He fell for it, what an idiot. That's a special prison he won't be able to escape from."

The clone smirks,

"Now I'm going to get rid of them, and finally kill the old man."

The real Zabuza uses his hand that wasn't holding Kakashi prisoner to form a hand sign,

"Water Clone Technique."

Another of his clones rose up from the water, that one used the same mist technique from earlier. As the mist thickens, I could hear the clanging of metal on the ground, and Kakashi yelling,

"Everyone! Get Tazuna and run, you can't win against him! He can't move as long as he has me trapped in this water prison. He also won't be able to use his water clone once you get away from him."

I turned my attention back to the Zabuza in front of me as he says,

"I'll enjoy the feeling of watching you suffer as you see them die."

I held my kunai tighter in my clenched hand and retort,

"Shut it, the only one who'll be suffering here is you."

He raises his sword and dashes towards me, in that moment everything seemed to slow down. Analyzing Zabuza's body movements, I could tell he was going for a low strike, possibly near either my knees or shins.

The clone does as I predicted and swings the sword at my legs, I pushed off the ground and jumped over his head, landing on an overhead tree branch. I looked down just in time to see him coming in for the next attack, so I jumped over to the next branch. His sword hit the tree, and cut the branch clean off.

I can't leave the Genin to fight his other clone by themselves, but I also can't help them with this one after me. Looks like I'll have to defeat this one first, then rush over and help them.

With the plan in mind, I jumped back down to the ground just as he goes past me, crashing into the canopy of leaves. I quickly formed a few hand signs, and my own clone poofs up next to me. My clone already knew what was going on, so they go off into the nearby bushes to wait for my signal. It was worth a try to get a sneak attack in on him, hopefully that'll be what gets him and I can go help the others. I heard him cursing to himself as he jumps down, then says,

"And you say I use dirty tricks."

I shrug and reply,

"Wasn't so much of a trick as it was a tactic to distract you."

"Distract me? For what?"

"For this,"

My clone springs from the bushes with a kunai in hand, pointed straight at Zabuza's back. As he turns around to swing his sword and cut my clone across the chest, I dash towards him with my own kunai poised to strike as my clone poofs away.

It was my turn to curse as he turns around quicker than I expected and grabs my wrist, he pulls his sword back and says,

"Be a good girl and stop this senseless fight."

"Tch, who do you think I am?" I ask with anger lacing my voice.

I used my free hand to pull out another kunai and managed to get him in the abdomen with it.

"Heh, no wonder you're quite the catch," the clone fell to a puddle at my feet just like the others did.

I let out a breath as I turn around just in time to see Sasuke and Naruto working together to free Kakashi. They had used a shadow shuriken attack to make the real Zabuza let go of the water prison. He jumped to the side to avoid the blade, letting Kakashi go in the process.

As he lands on the water, I heard Sakura shout,

"Look out Keira-Sensei!"

I spun around, then immediately ducked just as another Zabuza swung his sword at me. How the hell did he make another clone without me seeing? Damn it, this is just getting annoying now.

I jump back some and say,

"Almost had me there."

The clone pulls his sword back and replies,

"I wouldn't want to kill you just yet, don't worry. Don't want to scratch that pretty face either."

I grit my teeth, I really hated this guy. I felt relief and confusion wash over me as the clone suddenly falls to a puddle. What happened? I turned around and saw that Kakashi had copied the real Zabuza's water jutsu, and the assassin was currently being swept away. And so was Naruto.

The current died down and Zabuza was up against a tree as Kakashi perches himself on the brach above. As I head over to where the others were, senbon needles were thrown from nearby and hit Zabuza in the neck. His head falls forward as Kakashi jumps down and lands near the others.

A young boy in a mask appears in front of Zabuza, he was dressed in clothes from the Hidden Mist, and one of their tracker masks. They were talking, but I couldn't really make out what they were saying. It was probably something about taking Zabuza's body away. That's what the trackers did, they found their ninjas dead body's and disposed of them so the information the knew couldn't be used against their village. The tracker grabs Zabuza's body and disappears with it a moment later.

I reached them just as Kakashi falls forward, I stick my arms out and catch him with a grunt. He was kind of heavy to have to hold him like this, I had one arm across his chest while my other was over his back. I shift his arm so it was over my shoulders and he was leaning against me. In this position it was easier to hold him, Naruto asks,

"Is Kakashi-Sensei okay?"

"He's fine Naruto, just passed out," I reply while looking to the blonde.

Man, Kakashi really needs to learn his limits with the Sharingan. I can't go hold him every time he passes out from using it too much. It's great the threat with Zabuza is resolved, but now we've got to head to Tazuna's house and let Kakashi rest up. It might be a while before this big oaf will be able to do anything.
