I looked up as someone approaches me, it was Kakashi. He had a small bundle in one hand, and a cup in his other.

"Here," he starts off,

"You've got to eat and drink too, we need you to be in good health."

I accepted both things from him as he holds them out to me, he sits next to me and I reply quietly,

"Thanks."

I set the cup on the ground and untied the small knot on the top of the bundle, inside of it was two rice cakes and some mochi.

"You should eat something too," I state as I took out one of the rice cakes,

"I bet you haven't had anything yet."

I looked at Kakashi and he shrugs while replying,

"I haven't, I wanted to make sure you got something to eat first."

I held the bundle over to him,

"Then have the other rice cake, I'm not feeling all that hungry right now."

Kakashi turns around somewhat to make sure the others wouldn't come over to us, before he pulls his mask down and takes the other rice cake.

"You really shouldn't skip out on meals, it won't do you any good," he scolds,

"You're going to get hungry later, and when you do, this will be why."

I rolled my eyes, and replied with a huff,

"You're one to talk, you brought me something to eat before you got yourself some. You're more important on this mission than I am, so you can't be doing that either."

I took a bite of my rice as he nudges me with his elbow while saying,

"That is not true, you're as equally important as I am, you know that."

I set the bundle on my lap and picked up the cup he had brung over. I brought it to my lips and took a drink, it was just water, but it felt refreshing enough for me.

"On to a different matter," Kakashi says, his voice much quieter now,

"What happened when you were in the carriage? Did Isao do something to you?"

I set the cup down again and sighed, I was hoping he would have just forgot about that. But, I guess not.

"It wasn't that big of a deal," I explained,

"He just wanted to talk at first, but then he started flirting with me. I think."

I saw anger flash though his dark eye, but it was gone soon after. I continued,

"Don't worry, he didn't actually do anything to me. He just asked me some questions, but there was one I didn't like. And I guess I just freaked out a little."

"What did he ask you?"

I looked down at my hands,

"Was anyone in your family killed?"

Kakashi was silent for a moment, before draping his arm over my shoulders and saying,

"If anyone ever asks you something like that, you don't have to answer them."

I let my head rest against his vest as I reply,

"Yeah, I know. I just...just remembered what happened to my mother. And...what Okuri did to us."

I felt tears forming in my eyes just thinking about it, but I don't want to cry. I absolutely hate crying, it doesn't even matter if I'm the one doing it either. It just makes me sad to see someone cry, it makes me feel as if I'm the cause of their problems. Even if I don't know the person.
