Freefall (Kakashi HatakeXOC Part1)

My water broke.

I felt a sort of constricting feeling in my lower region, I knew it was from contractions. Kakashi must have known what was happening, because he immediately gets up from his side of the bed and comes over to the other. He seemed to be in a bout of panic, unsure of what to do. I look up at him, it was actually kind of amusing to see the Copy Ninja not knowing what to do. However, I didn't get to enjoy that for long before I felt another contraction, this one being a bit worse than the first.

"What should I do?" Kakashi suddenly asks.

"You should...relax," I managed to say,

"Until...until we know for sure."

Amaya had told me that we should wait before coming to the hospital if I started having contractions, she said something about timing them. She also said they would start by lasting about a minute to two and occur every fifteen to twenty minutes apart, and then eventually get to lasting nearly a minute and being three to four minutes apart. The best thing I could do right now was just keep my mind off the pain, and focus on timing the contractions. It'd be easier if Kakashi would calm down, he was only making me uncomfortable with how he was acting.

I moved both my hands behind myself and tried to get up, she said it would also help if I tried just walking around a little. Kakashi puts one of his hands on my back and helps me to my feet while asking,

"How much does it hurt?"

I leaned against him for a moment without saying anything, before pushing away from him and attempting to walk to the other side of the room. I stumbled at first, resulting in Kakashi to be at my side in an instant and holding me up. I finally reply,

"I'd rather...be stabbed with a kunai."

I held on to his shirt tightly as we only stood there for what felt like an eternity, I took a deep breath before trying to walk again; I managed to do better this time because of him helping me, I actually made it to the other side of the room and let his shirt go to lean against the wall.

Kakashi helped me walk back and forth to keep my mind off of the pain for nearly an hour, before I found the contractions were nearing the point of being five minutes apart. I stopped my slow pacing and look up at Kakashi while saying,

"We can...go now."

He nods, then takes one of my arms and drapes it over his shoulders, before bending down a bit and sliding his other arm under my legs and picking me up. It didn't make the pain any less or more, Kakashi must have known this as well. I kept my one arm around his neck while my other went to rest on my stomach, we were finally going to meet our son soon.

As soon as we got to the hospital, Amaya had gotten me checked into one of the delivery rooms, we've been here for about three hours now. She said it would still take time before my body was actually able to have the baby, and that I should stay relaxed and calm about everything happening. I couldn't exactly do that, however. I was starting to feel nauseous, and my back was starting to cramp up. Kakashi was to my right, letting me hold his hand. Which now that I think about it, may not have been a good idea on his part. I had his hand in such a tight hold, I swear I might break his hand. Not intentionally though.

This whole situation felt so unreal, almost like it actually wasn't happening. I had no idea that today would be the day our son would be introduced to the world, the day we'd finally get to meet each other. 

I heard the door open and then close, I looked up to see Amaya had come back into the room. She comes over to the side of the bed opposite Kakashi and says,
