"any relation to john laurens?" he asks, and you don't like the way this conversation is going towards.

but still, you humor him, "he's my brother, but enough about that, let's dance—!" you exclaim as you pull him along from the sidelines where you both were dancing and towards the middle

he smiles and laughs, "very well miss."

you both arrive at the middle of the dance floor and begin dancing on beat.

in the corner of your eye, you see john and peggy doing the same.

and in another corner, you see angelica with eliza and lafayette alone on the table.

you wanted to comfort him, but he ditched you to dance with angelica, so you're pretty hurt.
