the next day, both of them pretended that the night before didn't happen.

lafayette was being a beast in the battlefield, he was amazing honestly.

french aid had come, more guns and more ships and surprise surprise, y/n ignored the fact that john left to go to south carolina.

however, the fact that she didn't ignore was that she was conveniently invited to the battle planning, alongside lafayette.

while general washington was going on with how they could rendezvous with rochambeau and consolidate their gifts, lafayette had a much better plan, and she was obliged to agree as his unofficial girlfriend.

his plan was to bring hamilton back to the war zone, she agreed wholeheartedly of course, the only flaw of their plan was the fact that they needed to somehow convince general washington to go through with it.

but they had a plan for that too...

y/n heard lafayette speak and knows that the plan is a go.

"we can end this war at yorktown—" lafayette says,

and y/n cuts him off, "but for this to succeed, there is someone else we need..."

lafayette and y/n share a look and in sync they say, "hamilton!"

and y/n continues to speak, "sir, he knows what to do in the trench—"

and lafayette interrupts her this time, "—ingeniutive and fluent in french, I mean..."

y/n immediately chirps out, "hamilton!"

even faster, lafayette continues, "you're gonna have to use him eventually, what's he gonna do in the bench—?"

"hamilton!" y/n says as she grins

lafayette winks at her as he tells general washington, "you want to fight for your land back?"

the general looked at them both defeated, and a bit like they were two kids that got the better of him, he sighed and said, "I need my right hand man back."

and even faster, it sounded hot with his french accent and by the gods, how is he saying it so fast?

"yeah, yeah, get your right hand man back, I mean you gotta put some thought in the letter but the sooner the better to get your right hand man back!"

and general washington was writing rapidly.

they were gonna win the war.
