No! No! No! Mom no! Don't leave! Don't leave!
"DON'T LEAVE!" I shriek sitting up. I look around... I'm not in the bed, I'm in my bed. Thank God. Thank God I was dreaming. And it's only midnight... I hate it when I wake up at midnight.
I sigh. Vegas looks at me confused.
"It's fine, boy. Just another one of those nightmares... again..." I say. Vegas looks at me, as if he was was going seriously? Also looking very annoyed with me. "Well I'm sorry I can't control my nightmares, it's not my fault!"
Vegas does this little grump. He wants me to leave him alone.
When my parents were around, everytime I would have a nightmare, they'd always take me on walks to take my mind off it, no matter what time it was. They'd always take me outside to put my mind at peace.
I get out of my bed, and look out the window. Even though I always get sad looking out the window... it's where I get my best thinking done. I just had another nightmare... my mother or father would know what to do... I mean... I guess they've taught me what to know what to do.
I climb out the window, and jump down onto the ground, out of my house. I walk along the road.
My parents would be here.
My parents would've been here to take my mind off my nightmare... but my nightmare was literally about them. THEM. My parents themselves. I loved them a lot. But it seems like they didn't love me.
After a while, of what seems like maybe minutes, an hour? I start to hear a noise. It sounds like a very unpleasant noise. Coming from a woman... and a man. The man sounds a lot more greedy, when the woman sounds a lot more in distress.
People are very poor in this town, like I am, but I never mug people for it.
Oh God. The woman's not getting mugged is she?! Oh who are you kidding Eli, it's literally nicknamed the "City of Muggers."
I look around. I swiftly run around, trying to see if the sound is getting close or not. It gets quiet and louder back and forth. I've always been able to hear things very well. I've never known why.
It becomes very loud and clear all of a sudden, and all I have to do is turn the other corner. I see a woman, muslim, getting shoved back and forth, because a man dressed in black is trying to get something from her. Of course, a purse.
"Gimme the purse!" he yells.
"Get off of me!" shrieks the woman. I shouldn't just stand here... I have to do something... can't just let that woman get mugged like this... I do have a choice... all I have to is wave my hand, and the purse will fly out of each of their hands and I'll tell the woman to run and I'll handle the guy, but I'll probably end up getting pretty hurt.
