And then I awake.
But I then wake up with a gasp as a slowly start remember and process what just happened. These guards and Sawyer's father kidnapped me...
But why? My head rises up, and I'm unexpectedly and all of sudden looking straight in the eyes of Sawyer's father. I jump, and he puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Oh sh, sh, sh..." he soothes creepily as ever. "You have no need to be afraid."
I try to look at where I am. A dark, eerie setting. Rusted walls are everywhere, and I hear water somewhere around me dripping onto the ground.
Plook. Plook. Plook. Plook, makes it seem even more terrifying for me.
I'm sitting in a chair. A very new, metal chair. I realize my wrists are bound together very tightly behind my back, with the itchiest, hardest rope I've ever felt in my life. I look around, and see other guards snarling at me.
"What... what... what the hell is this!" I croak, almost a shout. A very faint echo of my voice springs through the space of the room we're in. I struggle against the ropes, but the rope is so tight, it's hard to even move my arms. "Where! Where am I!"
"You're with us, my child." growls Sawyer's father.
"Stop, calling me that!" I say with clenched teeth. I continue to struggle against the ropes. "I'm not your child!"
Sawyer's father stands up from crouching in front of me.
"I'm glad you mention children, my friend." he says. I look up at him.
"Why... why am I tied up?" I ask with my voice shaking as much as my body.
"Jamie..." says Sawyer's father. "Call me Anthony."
So that's his name... Anthony... hate it.
"Jamie... I admire you," he says walking towards me. I stare up at him, petrified. "You are very... very good friends with my daughter."
Oh no... he's talking about Sawyer...
"You love her don't you?" he says. I open my mouth to say that I love her, but I get to nervous to what he'll say next. So nothing comes out. He walks towards me, making me even more terrified than I already am. "You... love... her...... don't you?"
Don't be terrified anymore Jamie. He's just trying to get into your head, I tell myself.
I exhale through my nose.
"Of course I love her." I say. Anthony raises his eyebrows, and gives me this weird look.
"Well... I hoped you told it to her one last time... because you are never going to see her again." he says, his face right up to mine.
He goes from smirking at me to staring at me full of fury.
For some reason all the fear is gone from my body.
