A snake and a lion~Ron Weasley x reader

After Ron getting his totally gorgeous dress robes and dad teaching us how to dance and what expected of us at the Yule ball I was beyond excited. I already knew I would be going with Cedric but I still hoped he would ask me. The boys still haven't found dates and are starting to get desperate and that's where we stand right now. Ron Hermione Harry and I were with dad as we did our newest assignment. Dad kept hitting Harry and Ron trying to make them shut up. After Fred asked Angelina to the ball Ron did the stupidest thing ever.

" Hey Hermione you're a girl," I snorted as I watched the scene and Harry trying to stop Ron from his own stupidity.

" Yeah, well spotted," SHe said and I began worrying if Ron was going to ask her, she already has a date.

" Come with one of us?" He asked mimicking his brother. I laughed as dad hit him and Harry over the head. I was done with the work but I wanted to see how this ended before I left. " Come on its one thing for a bloke to show up alone. For a girl, it's just sad." I wanted to punch Ron as he siad this.

" I won't be going alone, because, believe it or not, someone's asked me!" She grabbed her stuff and got up handing her notebook to dad she came back to grab the rest of her stuff. " And I've said yes!" She said leaving.

" Bloody hell," Ron said before looking at me. I was about to get up when he spoke to me. " You're going with Golden boy aren't you?" He asked and I nodded.

" He hasn't asked yet but I would assume so yes," I said getting my book.

" If he doesn't ask you, go with one of us?" He said and I rolled my eyes.

" No! Ronald, he is my boyfriend I am going with him and I wouldn't want to go with you anyway if you keep acting like this!" I whisper yelled as I got up and handed my stuff to dad. Before I could leave he started talking.

" The Diggory boy wants to see you," He said and handed me a piece of paper. I nodded kissing his cheek and saying goodbye. As I walked out of the room I grabbed the note he gave me and opened it noticing that it was from Cedric.

Meet me in the astronomy tower at midnight and don't get caught.

I smiled thinking about what he was going to do and assumed he was going to ask me to the Yule Ball, finally. When midnight came I got out of my bed and out the door so thankful I didn't have dorm mates. I climbed the stairs to the astronomy tower hating how many stairs there were but I always loved the view. As I reached the top I saw a figure leaning on the railings and looking up at the stars.

" Ced?" I asked and he turned around the moon is the only light source making his face have a pale glow to it.

" Hey, love, come here look at all the stars tonight," He said taking my hand and dragging me over to the railing. I looked up and there were so many stars lighting up the sky that you could barely see the black sky.

" Woah, it's gorgeous," I stared in wonder.

" Not as gorgeous as you," Cedric hummed and I had to roll my eyes at the cliche making him laugh. " Okay, okay, it is true though but maybe a little corny. " I nodded and he laughed again.

" Anyways I know that we're engaged and you probably already knew that we'd be going together but I also know you and I knew you'd want to be asked so," He took a step back and bent down and fairy lights lit up the wall and I laughed at the scene. 

The lights were enchanted in a way that made them float but also said ' Go to the ball with me?' 

" Of course Ced," I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him in for a kiss. " By the way, are those the same lights you used when you proposed?" I asked teasing him slightly.

" Yes, I love you but I'm not buying another set of those lights and having my dad send them," He said with a serious voice but also smiling.

" Eh, or you're just cheap," I said with a shrug making him roll his eyes. " You won't be though after you win hmm?" He smiled brightly as I said this.

" You think I'll win?" He asked and I nodded.

" I know you will." He smiled kissing me again as he wrapped his arms around my waist. " Want to go back to mine?" I asked and he nodded picking me up as I wrapped my legs around his waist giggling.

" I love you so much you know that," He said walking down the stairs.

" I know."
