you glare at him as your brother turns around, he spots you and his expression if one full of shock.
you meet your brother's gaze and look away.

john stands and you shrink, willing the ground to just eat you up.

alex, hercules and he-has-a-super-long-name lafayette are all just confused, but they won't be for too long
you sneak a look up at your older brother, john honestly looked disappointed.
who was he disappointed at? at himself? at you?
that wasn't good.
you never liked to make your older brother disappointed, but you thought, "well, I suppose this was inevitable."
you can only hope he isn't too disappointed in you.
you shift your gaze towards the ground again, begging it to eat you up.
that would be better than facing the dissapointment and shock and wrath and anger of you older brother.
and finally, john speaks.
