Aftermath

"Sasuke Uchiha, you are under arrest by the orders of the Fifth Hokage," said two shinobi and right behind them stood Ibiki.

"Wait what?" Blurted out Naruto. "For how long?"

Sasuke sighed and reluctantly got off the bed and walked on over to the shinobi who placed a hand on his shoulders and led him out of the room. But as he was being escorted out, he looked over his shoulder and made eye contact with me before he was completely out of sight.

"But-" Naruto attempted to get off the bed but Sakura and I stopped him from doing so.

"Easy there. You can ask Lady Tsunade after you're discharged from here," I calmly said to him.

"Yeah! I'll go find a nurse," piped up Sakura and walked out of the room in search for a nurse.

I remained my Naruto's side and squeezed his shoulder and he looked up at me. "It was going to happen. You know that right?"

"...yeah, but.... I thought they wouldn't since he helped us. He's changed now."

"You're right he has. But don't forget that there's things he's done in the past that can't he forgotten, like deserting the village and joining Orochimru, joining the Akatsuki, and trying to steal the Eight Tails. They can't look past that. He has to pay the price for what he's done."

Naruto plopped himself down on the bed with his arm over his face. "I just wonder how long he'll be there for."

"If anything... years" I truthfully spoke and he removed his arm and revealed saddened blue eyes.

Another knock was heard and entering inside the room was Sakura and a young petite nurse.

"Naruto Uzumaki, you're free to go now," shyly said the nurse as she ran her eyes over him with a shade of rose pink dusting her cheeks and I raised a brow at her behavior. "We'll be sending word for you to come again about your arm."

The nurse quietly excused herself and as soon as he left the door, Sakura exclaimed with her mouth agape, "She was totally checking you out!"

"Huh?" Bewilderedly commented Naruto as he scratched his head.

"You saw it too didn't you, (Y/n)?" Directly asked Sakura and their eyes were on me as they awaited my answer.

"Um.... I just thought she was acting weird?" I uncertainly said, but truth be told, I did notice and I didn't want them to notice it.

"Checking me out or whatnot, I don't care! Let's go ask about Sasuke!" Shouted Naruto as he hopped off the bed and grabbed the spare change of clothes that were nearby and headed inside the bathroom.

With the door closed, Sakura inched closer and had a playful smirk on her lips, "You like him, don't you?"

"W-What?" I stuttered out with my face beginning to grow slightly hot.

"Or do you have something going on with one of the other guys?" She further pressed and I was left with my mouth wide open and cheeks growing hotter without a word coming out.

The door slammed open making me jump on the spot and there appeared Naruto who fully dressed.

"Let's go!" He slid open the main door and ran out and we sighed as we followed after him.

We arrived outside Lady Tsunade's office in a matter of minutes with Naruto storming inside her office making Lady Tsunade jump on her seat and drop a few pieces of paper.

"How long are you planning on keeping Sasuke in jail?!"

"A year."

"That feels like so long!" Drearily cried out Naruto.
