The Path of a Shinobi (Reader x various)

The sound of loud banging was heard at your front door. "(Y/n)! Hurry up so we can go train with Pervy Sage!" Sighing and sluggishly getting out of bed, you took a quick shower and wore your (f/c) ninja outfit. Grabbing your ninja gear you went on to open the door and saw Naruto impatiently waiting for you.

"Finally! Let's go now."

The month was almost coming to an end and the third round of the Chunin exams was nearing. You and Naruto had constantly been training every day learning your own skills. The bond between you two had deepened along with the others as you tried finding time to talk and hang out, but the only interference was the Chunin exams that kept us all busy.

*Timeskip*

"Naruto I'm going to teach you a summoning jutsu while (Y/n) will have a different training exercise. She'll soon join you in the summoning jutsu." You and Naruto soon signed the contract that was handed to you both. Naruto attempted to summon a frog but was only met with a tiny tadpole. Numerous attempts were made and Jiraiya Sensei became frustrated that Naruto was only able to summon tadpoles.

Not too far from Naruto, Jiraiya Sensei taught you the different techniques that came with the Rinnegan as well as explaining the Deva, Asura, Human, Animal, Preta and Naraka Path.

"With the animal path you'll be able to summon animals without a contract unlike with mine. Your Rinnegan will benefit you in the Chunin exams, but aside from that I'll have to teach you to control and use your tailed beast. You'll be able to summon your power naturally once you control it. I'm going to help you leak some of that chakra out so we're going to try it along with Naruto."

We walked over to Naruto but instead of trying it right now we headed into the village with Jiraiya Sensei asking us questions. "Is there a place you like to eat?" Naruto suggested we eat at Ichirakus. Once we were there Naruto ate to his hearts content except he wasn't so content with the amount he had to pay. You ate your own bowl of ramen and helped Naruto pay for his ramen. Once you guys finished Jiraiya had asked you both another question. "Is there anyone that you both like?"

Naruto became flustered quickly glancing at you but nonetheless mentioned Sakura's name. Jiraiya looked at you waiting for your answer. "I'm not sure if I have anyone I like at the moment," you responded sheepishly.

Naruto's heart sunk a little hearing those words but had a ray of hope, hoping that it would change. Jiraiya noticed the sadness that flickered in his eyes from your words but said nothing about it.

"Well Naruto, go find the one you like and go give her a hug. It's part of your training." Naruto quickly went in search for Sakura but deep down inside he wanted to give you the hug.

After he found her, he attempted to hug her but that resulted in him being punched in the face. Watching the whole scenario you went to retrieve Naruto and headed back to your actual training. Walking back outside the village, we headed into the forest with Jiraiya Sensei. Before we proceeded any further, Jiraiya Sensei punched Naruto in the gut, causing him to collapse and become unconscious.

"You didn't have to do that you know."

"I know but it'll keep him quiet for a bit," said Jiraiya as he picked Naruto up.

*Timeskip*

Naruto soon woke up and we resumed our training. "Starting now you must stare death in the face. Once you do that you'll both be able to release that other type of chakra. If you don't want to die you'll have to do something about it."

He flicked both of our foreheads, sending us flying through the forest above an abyss. Plunging down into the abyss screaming, we channeled chakra to our feet but it was useless.
