The Path of a Shinobi (Reader x various)

"I never imagined I'd be forced into fighting you two again," said Nagato. However, I didn't fight personally, but as Pain.

"Right back at you guys," I coldly commented as my eyes remained focus on Itachi as my mother's words rang through my ears.

'It was...Itachi.'

"You two have changed quite a bit," said Nagato referring to our chakra mode.

"You mean this?" Naruto extended his arms out to show off his new look. "I'm in control of the Nine Tails Chakra Mode and (Y/n) is in control of the Eleven Tails. It's our Chakra Mode," answered Naruto.

"I'm impressed with your development," proudly said Itachi as he looked at Naruto before his gentle eyes landed on me and I scowled which made his smile fall into a thin line.

"We're sibling students after all. I'm not surprised," chuckled Nagato.

"That's all because of me. Before I came along, they were pretty much in the shadows," snickered Bee and Naruto retaliated.

"That's not true!"

"Have you overcome hatred?" Suddenly asked Nagato as he looked between Naruto and I, but Naruto was the first to respond.

"Yeah! As my senior, you taught me about pain. The training I did at the Waterfall of Truth and talking with my parents really helped me. I have all of you to thank for where I am now!"

"I see." Nagato's eyes trailed over me and I gave him my answer.

"I suppose I have. However, I can't forget what you did to Jiraiya Sensei. Whether I have truly overcome hatred or not depends on someone here who owes me an explanation about that night. But we'll talk alone, I don't want to kill the mood."

Nagato looked at Itachi and I with curious eyes, while Itachi sighed and nodded his head at me.

"That reminds me...I have a question for you," pointed out Naruto.

"Very we-" Itachi and Nagato's eyes widened for a split second almost as if they were startled. Itachi placed his fingers near his lips and I knew what jutsu he was planning on throwing.

"Get away!" I shouted to Naruto and Bee and ended up pushing them out of harms way from the incoming fireball. I jumped alongside Naruto and noticed Itachi disappear until Nagato notified us that they were being controlled and alerted us that Itachi was above.

We looked above us and he was coming straight towards Naruto and I.

"What do you say, a little tag team battle?" I asked Naruto with amusement dancing in my eyes.

"You know it!"

We both leapt towards him in the air and Naruto was the one who threw the first punch as I jumped behind Itachi and threw a kick that was aimed at his face, but he blocked my attack and Naruto's.

"What happened to Sasuke?" Asked Itachi.

"He's going to take revenge on the Leaf Village! He joined the Akatsuki! I wanted him to change his mind when I asked him whether you would've wanted that or not but he silenced me!" I ducked my head from Itachi's incoming kick and grabbed his ankle and flung him towards Naruto.

"What? Why won't he return to the Leaf Village?"

"Because he found out the truth! About you and your top secret mission! Instead of coming back, he chose to destroy the village!" Loudly answered Naruto as he blocked Itachi's fist from landing on his face. Itachi kicked Naruto down to the ground and I let myself fall and land next to Naruto.
