A/N: I hope you keep enjoying the story. Also if you have any suggestions feel free to let me know. :)
Opening your eyes you found yourself lying in a dimly lit room. You were lying on a bed staring at the ceiling and the creamy white walls around you. While staring at the empty, plain room your eyes had widened and realization hit you.
Your body instantly shot up as you looked around. Naruto. The last thing you remember was closing your eyes as Kakashi Sensei soared through the rain. It's obvious that Kakashi Sensei brought you in once you fell unconscious on the way back to the Leaf village.
While you were looking around the room your eyes had traveled to your arms. You noticed bandages were wrapped around both your arms and felt the fabric of the bandages under your shirt.
The sound of the sliding door had caused you to dart your eyes at that person. A female nurse had walked in with a gentle smile on her face. She carried a tray of food and a clipboard between her armpit.
"I'm glad to see your finally awake after those couple of days (Y/n)." It had taken you a few seconds to process the words she had said.
"Couple of days?! How many days have I been out for exactly?" Your hands clutched your head in a stressful manner as you darted your head around in a frenzy.
"About three days. Your chakra reserves were low and you almost depleted all of your chakra, so your body desperately needed those couple of days to rest, along with some wounds that you received," she said while examining your condition and writing down information on her clipboard.
"Well you're in better condition now but you should stay here and rest for the night." She grabbed her clipboard and was about to leave until she heard your voice.
"Wait! Um do you happen to know where Naruto Uzumaki is?"
"Yes he's four rooms down from you. You can go visit him once you're discharged." With that she left you alone in the room. You wanted to see him, but weren't sure especially after what happened with Sasuke.
You were the last one conscious and his promise to Sakura was broken. You felt guilty for everything that had happened. Debating your options, you were staring at your hand clutching the white bed sheet on top of you. He was your friend and you wanted to see how he was doing. You weren't going to wait. Throwing the bed sheet off your body you didn't care about what the nurse had said. You got off the bed and headed to the door.
Opening the door you checked the hallways to see if any nurses were around. Stepping out you slowly closed the door and tiptoed your way to Naruto's room. When you were about to open the door you heard voices speaking inside.
"Everyone was in critical condition but they're going to be okay now." A small smile crept onto your lips as you heard those words. You were glad that they were still alive.
Opening the door, Shikamaru was sitting on the end of the bed while Naruto had a dull look on his face, staring at Sasuke's scratched headband.
"Oh (Y/n), I'm glad your awake. I visited you earlier but you were still unconscious." He stood up and offered you the seat on the bed, but you politely declined and stood standing.
You looked at Naruto with a relieved smile but he couldn't muster one up.
Shikamaru looked at two of you but laid his eyes on you and your bandaged arms. He squinted his eyes and saw the trail of dried blood from your lips along with small visible scratch-like marks.
He wasn't content with what happened to you. He anxiously worried about you for the three days you were unconscious, but seeing you standing in front of him alive was all that he cared about.
