*Erin's POV*

"That was really nice." I had parked the car in front of Jay's apartment building.

"Yes. I agree. Do you want to do that again?" Jay had a shy smile on his face.

"Yeah. I'd love that." I was glad he asked because I wouldn't have dared.

"Have a good night." Jay got out of the car and as soon as he had closed the car door my radio went off.

"50-21 Ida. 10-38. I might have found the silver car." I listened up when Adam called that in.

"10-80. I got made. Offender is fleeing west-bound." I turned my sirens on and started driving.

"Where are you, Ruze?" The question wasn't necessary, because just as I was driving down the street, I saw a silver car that came around the corner so quickly that it hit my lane.

I tried to avoid the accident, but we collided head-on.

My head hit the steering wheel with full force because we were both driving so fast that the airbag triggered too late.

Everything I saw was blurry and felt like it was far away.

*Jay's POV*

Lindsay drove off with sirens on and I figured that she'd answer an call so I turned around to open my door when I heard tires screech, more sirens and then the sound of a car crash.

I spun around and saw a silver and Lindsay's car smashed together, smoking.

I dropped my keys and jacket and immediately ran towards the cars.

Next to Lindsay's car was a tall man with blond hair.

"Call the fire department!" He yelled as soon as he saw someone next to him.

"I need some help at East 148th Street. Two cars crashed into one another and are slightly smoking. At least two seriously injured persons. Please hurry up!" I hung up because I was sure it would be better if I helped the policeman.

"I hope you have experience as a first aider, because you have to take over here, I have to see after the other man. If she wakes up; her name is Lindsay." The guy ran around to the other car.

"I know her name." I got a short puzzled look, but then the man focuses on the other victim again.

"50-21 Henry for 50-21 Ida." I looked around until I noticed that the voices were coming from the radio, which was surprisingly undamaged next to Lindsay.

"10-12. Stand by 50-21 Henry." The man who was here with me answered while he was reaching into the car.

"50-21 Ida. I'm at East 148th Street. You can cancel on that second ambo. The guy does not have a puls. Go for Ruzek, 50-21 Henry." Everything happened very quickly and I couldn't understand how the man, who was apparently called Ruzek, could so calmly pass through all the data while he noticed that someone was dead.

"What the hell happened, Adam? Is Erin okay?" I knew the voice from somewhere, but couldn't pinpoint it.

"She's not, Hailey." He came walking back to me and we both looked into the car.

My hands were full of blood because I was trying to stop the bleeding Lindsay had on her head.

"I'm two minutes out." The women said and I turned because I hear sirens.

"You might need to step back to let the Squad work." Ruzek took my arm and pulled me aside when a few firefighters came running towards us.

The shock that Lindsay was lying unconscious in her car and it didn't look good started slowly.
My legs folded under me and I sat on the floor faster than I could blink.

"Whoah man. You good?" Ruzek looked at me.

"Just the shock." My voice was trembling.

"So how do you know Lindsay." I knew he wanted me to talk so that I would get over the shock, because that's how I'd done it with comrades.

"We've been out for dinner about an hour ago." I sighed and my feelings went crazy.

"So your Jay. Erin's partner told me that she was meeting you tonight. How'd it go?" He sat down on the street next to me.

"Okay I guess." My eyes kept wandering off to her car.

"I'll drive you to the hospital." Ruzek offered and I was very happy that he was so nice.

As we passed a blonde woman, I recognized her as the one who had stopped me yesterday.

"Know her too?" I got asked by the guy.

"Long story." I didn't mean to tell him about my arrest.

"Okay. I won't ask anymore." He understood that I didn't want to talk about it anymore.

"Lindsay's though. She's had bad injuries and she managed to get through." His words were nice to hear but I knew that I couldn't believe it until I knew that she was fine again.
