*Jay's POV*

"Come on, Melanie. Nobody will harm you. You just have to tell me what you'd told me in the alley." Erin seemed to be on the verge of giving up.

I was standing behind the mirror, just watching.

"I want a lawyer." The women kept demanding and Erin sighed and left the room.

"How am I suppose to crack her? She told me everything I needed in the alley already, but now she won't say a word." Lindsay ran a hand through her her and frowned.

"Come here a second." I opened my arms for her and she leaned against my chest took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

"I love you, you know that?" She smiled at me, reached up to place her hand on my neck and then kissed me tenderly.

"I love you too." I saw that someone was standing in the doorframe but Erin didn't notice yet, at least so I thought.

"I'm almost back inside. Don't worry, Hank." She let go of me, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and opened the door to the interrogation room again.

*Erin's POV*

"I really need you to trust me on this one, Melanie. There is no way for me to help you if you don't tell me again what you've already told me." I hated how little I could do for the women right now.

"But I told you everything! Why can't you just take that?" Her eyes were glimmery and I knew that she was frightened by everything that had happened.

"Because that wasn't official. Please just repeat it. Otherwise everything you said doesn't matter." I had no idea how I could convince her to trust me.

"Lawyer." She simply stonewalled me and that was it

"Can you go and get her a lawyer?" Erin asked an officer that was just walking by as she got out of the interrogation room.

"Of course." The young women hurried downstairs.

"That's on her now." Hank had crossed his arms.

"I don't know. Something doesn't add up. I gave her a pen earlier, to write down family or friends as a contact person and she is definitely left-handed. But the fight-off-wounds that the victim had were stronger on his left side. So someone right handed must have attacked him." I summed up my thoughts and the two guys nodded.

"Let her sit in there until the lawyer arrives. Then I'll take a run at her and we'll see, how it goes." Hank announced and Jay and I nodded.

"How about we go home? There's nothing we can do right now and you've had an exhausting day." Jay squeezed my shoulder and I leaned back against his chest.

"Mhh." I agreed and grabbed my jacket.

"Guys, we're out for today!" Jay announced and we made our way down the stairs.

*Jay's POV*

Erin went to take a bath and I started to cook her favourite dinner because I knew she was feeling down as the case didn't go as planned.

"Gosh." A shiver ran down my spine as Erin pressed her still wet frame against my back.

"Smells amazing in here." She grinned at me widely and I cupped her cheeks before kissing her.

"I love you." Our heads were still touching and everything I was a bit blurry.

"I love you too, Jay." Her voice was soft and I gave her another kiss.

"How about you get dressed, at least for now. Because that isn't fair." I pointed out, because the towel she had wrapped around her body had gone lose and I knew that she was using that shamelessly.

"You sure, you don't want to just get rid of the whole towel just now?" She looked up and winked at me.

Before following her to the bedroom I put the stove out, because as much as she was twisting my mind around, I didn't mean for the apartment to burn down with us in it.

I gasped when she dropped the towel because given all the things that had happened the last weeks there had rarely been time for things like this.

"Come on, get out of that clothes." Lindsay smirked and layed down on the bed, waiting for me.

*Erin's POV*

"Fuck... that..." I was out of words and it felt like the room around me was spinning.

"I think that describes it pretty accurate." Jay had a thin layer of sweat on his body and a big smile on his face.

"We don't we do this more often?" I joked and he snirred.

"I'll take you at any time. Just say a word." He pinched my tight when I got up because I was really hungry.

"Get away you..." I trew a pillow at him, as a consequence he got up quite fast, grabbed me and we both fell back onto the bed.

"Jay no! Jay!" I squealed because he had started tickling me and I was trying not to suffocate.

"Why would I stop?" The mock shone in his eyes but he did in fact stop after a little while and then was so generous to get back to cooking.

"This is so good." We were eating and Jay just smiled while watching me.

"I'm glad you like it." He reached for my hand and ran his thumb over my palm.
