*Erin's POV*

Everytime I saw movement in Hank's office I was about to get up to tell him about my pregnancy. But right now no one could tell by just looking at me and so I stayed at my desk.

"Nacotics called and asked if we could join them with their current case because apparently it went differently from what they thought." I looked at Hank who had come out to the bullpen to fill us in.

"Well, they can't do anything alone, can they?" Antonio joked but of course we drove straight to their current location.

"You good?" Jay reached for my hand before I was getting out of the car.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?" We both know why I wouldn't be but I tried to forget about it, at least at work.

"Good that you guys are here. When we went in there we found something we didn't expect." The Nacotic's Sergeant walked us inside and I immediately picked up a kind of rotten smell.

When we went down into the basement I gasped at what I got to see and felt some nausea build up but I fought it back down because this was not the place or time to throw up.

"What the hell." Ruzek came down the stairs aswell.

"Twenty-seven." The Sergeant said and I looked at all the women, who were in cages.

"Any hopes, that they might still be alive?" Kim asked but I shook my head alongside Hank.

"They would have noticed that we're here by now." Rojas said and I looked away because it was a little too much.

"Do you happen to have names from them?" Jay spoke up and he got an annoyed look from the Narcotic Sergeant.

"My dear Halstead. Do I look like a hotel clerk to you? No? Good. Because I'm not. But since you seem so interested, how about  you start taking fingerprints and your lovely partner goes through the current missing persons reports." Jay snirred and I wasn't amused either but we didn't say anything and did what the he had told us to.

While I was on my way back to the district I was still pissed that he had just ordered us to do something and Hank hadn't said anything.

I looked through the reports and tried to remember the faces of the women but wasn't exactly successful so I waited until Jay sent the fingerprints and then tried to find matches.

*Jay's POV*

"I then also go to help Lindsay." If I said to Voight.

"I gave you the order to do the task you just did and I don't think you're finished here." I looked over at Sergeant Stevenson, that was what everyone called him here, when I wanted to walk up the stairs.

"With all due respect, Sir, you are not my Sergeant. And therefore I don't take any more orders from you." He looked like he wanted to punch me in the face for that answer.

"Listen. If I were you I would be really quiet now. You're not the stupidest, when you finished the academy I wanted you on my team, but Voight had already taken you. Just because you sleep with his adoptive daughter doesn't mean you have special rights. So if you want to move up in this department, I would be careful how you behave." His eyes pierced into mine and I still couldn't quite believe what he had just said.

"After we've cleared that up, take that broom over there and sweep through here, it looks messy." His shoulder bumped against mine, as he walked past me, I wanted nothing more than to give him a punch, but I held back.

"What was that?" Kevin walked up to me.

"I don't know." I shrugged and went to get the broom.

After about an hour Stevenson mentioned for me to stop.

"You did a good job there, officer. Have you ever considered to take a cleaning job?" He almost laughed scornfully.

"I did not, Sir. May I know join my unit back at the district?" For over half an hour only the two of us had been in the house and I had had enough of him bossing me around.

"For now. We'll hear from each other." Without saying anything else, I walked past him and to my car.

*Erin's POV*

"Hey." Jay put his arms around me as he came up the stairs.

"Where have you been." I tried several times to call him or to get him on the radio, but got no answer.

"This Sergeant made me do some work for him." I followed him to the locker room where he got chanced since his shirt was dirty.

"What the hell." Hearing that made me hate the guy even more.

"Hank?" I knocked at his office door.

"Erin. Come in." I closed the door behind me and sat down.

"Can I speak freely?" He raised an eyebrow but nodded.

"What is wrong with his Narcotic Sergeant?" Hank sighed at that.

"He wants to move up to Lieutenant." He told me and I rolled my eyes.

"If he does it again, I'll complain." I got up and left the office.

"What is going on with you? You're usually not that hot-headed." Hailey was leaning at my desk.

"I won't let that guy theorise Jay." I had noticed my moodiness aswell but I could hardly tell Upton about the baby.
