*Jay's POV*

I had heard Erin's alarm buzz for a while but she didn't seem to hear or care so I reached over to her nightstand and ended it.

"Lindsay?" I ran a hand over her arm but her eyes stayed closed and she didn't react.

"Hey, come on. We need to get up." I whispered into her ear and usually that would make her open her eyes but she didn't.

"Do you want me to tell Voight that you're not coming today?" She slowly got me worried.

"Could you please answer me for a second?" I saw her mouth twitch for a second and so I knew that she heard me.

I moved a little and started tickling her.

Erin started squealing but I didn't stop until she was begging me to.

"That's so not fair." I shushed her by kissing her smile and she closed her lips to kiss me back.

"Do you want to come or not?" I propped myself up on my elbows.

"I want to." She stretched her arms out and yawned widely.

"Good. It's boring without you there." I pecked her lips before I got up to get dressed.

*Erin's POV*

I made my way out of bed and behind Jay, as he was standing in front of the closet, trying to figure out which shirt to wear and ran my fingers over his bare back.

"I would prefer staying here a little longer." He pressed against me and I kissed his shoulder blade.

"We can't." I pulled away and sighed.

Before I could leave the room he grabbed my hand and pulled me back into a close hug.

"We can postpone that until tonight." Jay whispered into my ear and wanted to kiss me but I pulled away.

"I'd like that." I chuckled and jumped away before he could get a hold of me again.

When we got to the district, Adam, Kevin, Adam and Jay were told to check someone out and so the girls and I stayed back.

"So. How is it to he back with Jay?" Rojas smirked and I sighed as Hailey and Kim joined the talk aswell.

"It's good. We haven't really talked though but I guess he doesn't want to know why we ended the last time." Before I needed to explain any more Platt came up the stairs and looked straight up me.

"Lindsay." She waved me over.

"Someone is downstairs for chuckles, but because he isn't here I'd figure you might talk to the guy?" She raised an eyebrow and I nodded and followed her downstairs.

"You're not Jay." The guy got up from the chair and straightened up.

"Not quite. No. And who are you exactly?" I saw something on his face light up.

"Greg Gerwitz. Or you can just call me Mouse." He held out a hand and I shook it.

"Detective Lindsay." The looked he gave me told me that he knew who I was.

"So you're Jay's girl." Apparently the guy knew my boyfriend but I still had no idea who he was.

"Yeah. But I still have no idea who you are." I looked at the door and saw Jay, looking shocked at the guy.

"Greg." He walked up to the somewhat smaller guy and took him tightly in his arms and held him for a few moments before let go of him again.

When I moved a bit, his head snapped in my direction, as if he had briefly forgotten that I was there but then a smile appeared on his face and he walked over to me.

"So you've met Erin already." His voice sounded proud and I brushed my hand against his.

"Yes. But you apparently failed to tell her who I am." Gerwitz smirked and Jay froze for a second.

"Sorry man." He looked apologetically at his friend.

*Jay's POV*

I still couldn't belive my bestfriend was right in front of me and had quite a loss of words.

"Do you tell me now or should I guess how you two met?" Lindsay brought me back to reality.

"Even though that would be funny I think I don't want to hear it." I joked and she shrugged.

"We were in the army together. That guy saved me life more times than I can count." I looked back at Mouse and he had a smile on his face.

"I'm gonna leave you to it then." Lindsay walked out and buzzed up.

"Dang man. You got lucky with her." My friend looked after Erin and I snirred.

"Guess I am. How comes that you are here?" He had stayed in the army longer than I had.

"I just finished my last tour and then I needed to see it with my own eyes that my guy is with the police now." He pointed to my badge.

"Guess I actually am." I was definitely proud of myself that I made it.

"So how is it to work alongside with that beauty?" Mouse raised an eyebrow and his voice was mockingly.

"It's fine. And would you mind to stop telling me that you think my girlfriend is pretty? Otherwise my fist will find it's way in your rather ugly face quite fast." I was given a look of complete shock, but I knew he was enjoying us as much as I was.

"How about I let you work now and we meet up at your place tonight?" Mouse suggested and I knew that I had promised Lindsay that the evening would be ours so I didn't answer right away.

"It's fine if you don't want to. I can do something on my own." I shook my head because I really wanted to talk to him.

"I'll text you in a bit if it workes out, okay?" I suggested and he nodded his head in agreement before he then left.

When I buzzed up Erin was sitting at her desk and was looking into some paperwork.

"Got a sec?" She nodded and followed me in to the breakroom.

"Could I postpone tonight for one day? Because Mouse wanted to meet up and..." The look she gave me told me to stop.

"Of course you can.  And besides, maybe I get lucky and you guys tell me something about your army time together. I would die to get to know more about that." My lips curled up to a smile and I nodded before I leaned down to kiss her.

"We can totally do that." I took out my phone to text my friend and then went back to my desk.
