I Can No Longer Hide the Truth {DISCONTINUED}

Luke's POV...

I quickly run out to the studio and see the boys grabbing their stuff. They probably were about to head to the house to go to sleep.

"Guys! Ray fell and hit his head pretty hard, Julie is on her way to the hospital in the ambulance with him. She told me to have you guys stay here with Carlos. I gotta go meet her at the hospital."

They just nod, probably in shock. I walk into the house and grab the keys off the counter and run to Julie's car. I put the keys into the ignition and start to drive to the hospital.

Once I make it to the front desk I see a lady typing away at a computer.

"Hi ma'am, I'm here to see Ray Molina."

"Hello, what is your name and relationship with him?" She asks.

"Luke Patterson, and he's my girlfriend's father."

"Okay, just sign here and follow me." She says, getting out of her seat. She leads me to Ray's room.

The lady smiles and leaves.

I run over to the bed.

"How is he?" I ask.

"Hopefully he's okay, he's been unconscious for about 30 minutes now." She says, starting to tear up.

"It's okay, don't cry. He'll get through this." I tell her, pulling her into a hug. She rests her head on my shoulder and I can already feel the fabric of my shirt getting damp. I rub her back as I pull away.

"The nurse said that he should stay the night and we'll see how he is tomorrow." She says, wiping stray tears away.

"Okay, well we also don't want to rush it. We'll do whatever will help him." I assure her.

She smiles and leans her head on my shoulder. I kiss the top of her head.

"I should probably call Alex and tell him what happened. They were in shock when I told them where I was going."

She nods and I take out my phone.

I see tons of messages from him and Reggie.

I press his name and hit call.

After 1 ring he picks up.

"Dude! I've been texting you for over a half an hour!"

"Well Alex, if you let me talk, I'll tell you what happened." I say sarcastically.

"Okay go ahead, I'm sorry."

"Okay. Ray is unconscious. He has to stay for a night just to see where he's at tomorrow."

"Is it bad?"

"We hope not. He's been unconscious for around 30 minutes Julie said."

"Oh okay. Well, Carlos is asleep, he took the top bunk and Reggie is sleeping in your bed. Carlos wanted to be near someone so we let him sleep in our room."

"Okay good. Make sure he's okay, I don't want Ray and Julie worrying about him."

"He'll be fine. We're gonna take him to his friend's house tomorrow to keep his mind off of Ray."

"Okay sounds good, I'll see you when I see you." I say before saying goodbye and hanging up.

I turn to Julie and she has a look on her face.

"Carlos is asleep, he's bunking with Reggie in our room." I say to her.

"Well at least he got to sleep okay. I was worried about him." She says.

"Oh yeah he'll be fine. If Alex can handle Reggie by himself, he can handle Carlos."

"Yeah you're right." Julie laughs.

"Well, speaking of, I'm getting pretty tired too. So I have to go, I'm assuming you're staying with Ray?" I ask already knowing the answer.

"Yeah. Go ahead and get some sleep. I'll call you in the morning." She kisses me and returns to her seat next to Ray.

"Call me if he wakes up. I don't care if it's the middle of the night." I point at her and give her a look saying not to hesitate to call me. She nods and blows a kiss goodbye. I smile and walk out.

I walk up to the desk where the lady is sitting and sign myself out.

"Have a good night." She says.

"You too." I say, walking out.

Once I reach Julie's car, I take a deep breath and get in. I put in a CD we made. All of our songs. I turned up the radio and made my way back home.

I pulled into the driveway and parked her car. I made my way into the house and up the stairs.

I got changed and ready for bed. I looked at the clock and it read 2:48 a.m. I just crashed in Julie's room because I didn't want to wake up the other three.

Almost instantly I get a call from Julie. I pick it up sit up in bed.

"Hello? Is he awake?" I ask, eager to know.

"Yeah, he just woke up. If he stayed unconscious for even 5 more minutes it would have been considered a serious injury."

My eyes widen at this new information.

"What? Really? So is the nurse there?"

"I called for her before I called you. So yeah she's on her way at least."

"Okay. Well, keep me on call and tell me what she says when she comes in."

"Okay, she just walked in."

I take a deep breath and about 3 minutes later I hear Julie's voice again.

"He has a concussion. She said he'll be okay though. We just have to make sure he gets enough rest. And he can't read or watch TV."

"Okay, at least it's not too bad." I say, laying back down.

"Yeah, now get some sleep, you need it."

"Okay sunshine, you need some too, remember that." I say firmly.

"Alright, bye. See you tomorrow. I love you."

"See you tomorrow, goodnight. Wai-" Then she hangs up. Did she just say she loves me?

Oh my god. That chapter took a lot of research... please appreciate it omg. The times may be wrong so whatever though don't pay too much attention to it.

QOTD: What do you think happened between Carrie and Julie? I think Carrie's mom left her before Rose died and Rose was like Carrie's second mom and she distanced herself from Julie because she didn't want to go through another loss.
