Luke's POV...
Julie, Ray, and Carlos are still hugging. I grab the boys's wrists and pull them out of the studio. They deserve alone time.
"Hey, wanna go get ice cream? We could get Julie some too. It just got heavy in there, and it felt wrong staying there." I say.
"Yeah ice cream sounds good."
"Yeah! Ice cream!"
We walk to the city and stop at the ice cream place.
"Hey can we have 2 Vanillas, and 2 chocolates please?"
"Sure. That'll be $9.50 please."
I give the guy a $10 dollar bill.
"Keep the change."
"Thanks, hey aren't you the three guys from Julie and the Phantoms?"
"Yeah!" Reggie yells.
"My daughter loves you guys. Are you coming out with an album or anything soon?"
"That's classified." Alex smiles.
The man laughs and starts making our ice creams.
He eventually finishes them and hands them to us. We wave goodbye and say thank you and walk out.
"The guy in there recognized us! And his daughter likes our band!" I yell.
"Yeah man! That was awesome."
"This ice cream is super good too."
"Yeah it is."
"Mhm."
We make our way back to Julie's house and Ray and Carlos have left. Julie is sitting on my couch, she looks like she's crying.
"Im not sure if we should go in." I say nervously, backing away from the door.
"I'll go in and ask her." Alex says, he is the gay one after all.
Alex walks in and sits down next to Julie. He starts to talk to her and I see her nod and he waves us in.
Reggie and I slowly walk in.
I hand her the ice cream and sit down next to her.
"Thanks guys. For everything." She says, wiping away a few stray tears.
"You don't have to thank us. We'd do anything for you, Jules. We mean it." I say, pulling her closer to me. She leans her head on my chest.
When I finish my ice cream I get up and grab my guitar.
"Julie. I wrote this song today before you came out here. I was hoping that it would lift your spirits and make you happy." I say, smiling.
I look at the boys and nod my head towards the door. They get my signal and head out of the studio.
She smiles and turns so she can see me better.
I start strumming the intro and then sing.
I found a love for me
Oh darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own
And in your eyes, you're holding mineBaby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favourite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonightWell I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our ownWe are still kids, but we're so in love
Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time
Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I'll be your man
I see my future in your eyesBaby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful
I don't deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonightBaby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect
I don't deserve this
You look perfect tonightI strum the last few chords and the outro. She tears up. I think it worked.
"Luke... that was beautiful. Thank you." She whispers through tears.
She leans in and our lips meet. I set my guitar down and pull her into my lap.
"I couldn't help but notice the lyrics."
"Oh yeah, which ones?"
"She shares my dreams I hope that someday I'll share her home." I smile.
"What about them?"
"Well, I want to share a home with you too, someday."
I look down at her and kiss her head.
She buries her head deeper into my chest.
"I'm tired." She mumbles.
"I'll take you to your room, then." I say as I pick her up bridal style.
She giggles and holds on for dear life.
I carry her up to her room and set her down on her bed. Before I can walk away, she pulls my shirt and grabs my face and brings it down to hers. She kisses me and eventually let's go.
I'm about to turn the light off but a small voice stops me.
"Luke?"
I turn around.
"Yeah?"
"Stay. Please."
I look down the hallway and nervously walk back to her.
"But wouldn't your dad not like that?"
"He'll get over it. And I need you right now, I'm sure he'll understand. And plus, it's not like we're gonna do anything other than sleep." She says.
"Yeah, yeah I guess you're right." I climb in bed next to her and put an arm around her waist.
"Oh and Luke? I wouldn't mind kids either." I feel my cheeks start to burn up.
I just hold her tighter and bury my face in her hair.
She twists around and kisses me one last time before drifting off to sleep.
I love this girl.
Yalllll idk how much more fluffy I can get😅. That was cute though, you gotta admit.
Since I already did a QOTD today, we'll skip it for this chapter.
