Reader Pov- 

"Thats just how talented she is! plus she's down right gorgeous...its not even fair!"  

I heard another one say for like the 5'th time in 20 minutes. I rolled my eyes and folded my arms, i mean whats so good about her anyways?, yea she was a princess and she was pretty but whatever, there are better qualities in people, i thought as i waited for the 'princess' to start her speech. 

I kept judging her in my head for the next 3 minutes, criticising her every move and posture. I rested my face on my hand as my thoughts started going out of control, and the gossiping wasn't helping. 

I was about to say some very foul things before i stopped myself. I widened my eyes as i realized what i was doing. What in the bloody hell has gotten into me!?, I thought. I as in me was judging someone based off of rumors? 

I felt a lump in my throat and a horrid feeling in my stomach, i mean what was i thinking? I don't know this girl at all. I was a queen. Someone who shouldn't ever judge someone before having first hand experience with them i shook my head, this world has changed me for the worst... I mumbled to myself.

"Huh what was that Lanira?", Arthur asked leaning closer to me. "I- Uh. Nothing , sorry just talking to myself", i said trying to avoid his stare. He let out a hum before pointing to the stage where the princess was. 

"Greetings everyone," her voice echoed throughout the room," My name is Tessia Eralith, your student council president, first and foremost, Congratulations on your admittance to the finest institute of the mages this continent has to offer", She spoke with confidence and as she knew she had power and rights in this room. 

" While i am a First-year like all of you, i have had the privilege of observing the academy a year longer, Alongsides the lessons and bonds formed withing these grounds, I've also seen the discrimination scholar mages in particular have faced", she continued. 

I heard the snickering and laughing amongst a group of boys in the front right, I rolled my eyes, people these days have no respect for others i thought. I quickly created a gust of wind and directed it to them, they were quickly nudged and moved around slightly before it disappeared.They furrowed their eyebrows and the purple haired one turned to me and glared at me as if trying to intimidate me. I stared right back at him, lifting a brow and smirking. 

My attention was quickly grabbed as i heard the princess say," To cast aside the mindset of the older generations that bred hostility amongst the different races, just as the royal families have come together to form a council, we should do the same as the future of this continent!" she finished off.

Clapping started coming from all sides of the audience, i joined in too. Yea i might not entirely like her, but it doesn't mean that what she says are lies. I dislike her a little less now. 

I turned to the two boys on my right who were also clapping. I saw Art furrow his eyebrows before talking to Sylvie. " Hey Guys...", i heard Elijah being, I let out a hm before he continued," I think im inlove.." he mumbled. I can quite confidently say i saw hearts in his eyes and hearts floating around him that very moment. 

I let out a snort while Art and Sylvie had unamused expression, and Thor shook his head in disbelief. " Why are you guys looking at me like that!?" he shouted. "Because you've said that four times just on the way to the building", me and Arthur said in union. " Shaddup, she's different!" Elijah retorted as a dark blush covers his face. 

Arthur faced the stage and smiled" yea, she did change quite a bit", he said as his eyes trailed the princess. I looked at him intently, my heart beat started speeding up and there was a lump in my throat. I looked away from him and looked down at Thor who was sleeping on my lap.
