The sun beamed through the windows as students passed the corridors, giggling and laughing bouncing off the walls. A certain girl with a black cat walked passed, pressing down on her skirt to try and make it look neat. 

If she had been paying attention and not rambling to herself, she would have realized that she had made it to the door before hitting her head on it. 

"Ouch!" I yelped as i rubbed the spot on my head before the door clicked and opened. Peering from the other side was curtis. I smiled and waved to the boy before i walked in. I looked around and realized that only Arthur was left to arrive. 

I took my seat at the end of the table facing curtis.

Curtis cleared his throat and looked at me "Ah Lanira..I have some news to share with you". I looked at him and patiently waited for him to continue. Just as he was about to continued, the door opened and Arthur entered with sylvie. 

"What's going on?" He asked. Claire turned around and faced him "Its marcois..Last night, He died." 

I looked over at her and furrowed my eyebrows "Huh? But how I'm pretty sure the doctors said he was stable" I asked as i ushered arthur to come seat. 

"The artificers and medics attending marcois couldn't stop his mana leakage" Curtis stated. "Mana leakage? Even though he was unconscious?" Arthur asked looking at claire for answers. 

I stayed silent trying to figure this out. How? Mana leakages shouldn't be possible while he was asleep. "It had something to do with those symbols on his back" Claired responded.

As planned the meeting went on as we started fixing our patrol schedules. 

After the meeting ended I left Arthur, Kathlyn and Feyfey and went off to drop of thor. "Save me a seat Feyfey!" I yelled as I ran over to the other side of the school building. I hear Arthur chuckle and wheezing as I run. 

Arthurs class was next, and I was sure as hell late. I quickly speed walked to his class, all the running had caused me to collect air in my lungs and it hurt so much. When I made it to the door, I heard Feyfey answering the question from our prior class which i didn't even think of if im being honest.

I quietly peered through the door and say Arthur distracted with feyfey, I took this as an opportunity to run over to the seats and acted like I was always there.

"Ah! Lanira Houston! Just the person I was looking for!" Arthur chimed folding his arms and looking at me. I flinched and turned around to look at him before waving.  "So. Miss Houston have you thought of the question I had asked in our prior class?"
