Enemies to lovers (Bucky x reader)

The three times that Pup woke you both up during the night, you barely had to move. The bottles were right beside the bed on the nightstand with the paper towels, you both would just sit up together and snuggle in more while feeding Pup, then Bucky would go outside with you to make sure that he went pee. When you came back in, it was almost natural the way you both would snuggle into one another again. You were pleasantly surprised there were no nightmares, you felt completely safe. The last time you came back in you laid on your side, trying to give Bucky some room for himself, but he just put his arm under your head again, and pulled you close so he could feel you completely against his body and he held you from behind instead. Pup laid by your chest and seemed to be comfortable, and you felt Bucky using one arm to pet him slightly while you fell back asleep.
When you woke up the last time, it was to a knock on your door and you slipped out of bed sleepily and noticed that Bucky was still fast asleep. You couldn't help but smile to yourself as you grabbed Pup and went to answer the door while Cloud jumped off the bed to watch curiously.
"Good morning" Steve grinned looking in. "I figured something like that would happen" he admitted with a slight flush on his cheeks. "He was beside himself with worry while you were gone" he held out his hands. You handed him Pup and he grinned. "Get a little more sleep, I'm sure you'll be up for breakfast" he chuckled and left with a barking Pup who was ready for his breakfast. You checked your phone that was still charging and sighed a little. It was only five thirty in the morning, and you slipped back into bed. You felt Bucky pull you back in closely and he sighed in his sleep. You nuzzled into his arm and sighed happily going back to sleep.

"Y/N" Bucky shook you softly and you moaned a little trying to wake up.
"Five more minutes" you sighed, and curled more into him. He chuckled slightly and shook you again.
"We are going to be late for breakfast" he warned you, and your eyes opened quickly.
"Shit, I slept in" you flushed and sat up.
"Your mom came and got the wolves an hour ago" he admitted when you looked around confused not seeing them in the room.
"You've been awake that long?" you asked with flushed cheeks.
"You were sleeping really well, I didn't want to wake you" he blushed and sat up as well. "I'd better go get changed since we are headed out after breakfast" he looked to you with a small smile.
"I'll see what I can do with what little time I have" you sighed getting up and grabbing your phone. You barely had fifteen minutes to get dressed and put your makeup on before being at the table. Bucky got up and went out the balcony door, giving you another glance with a smile.
"Thank you for letting me sleep with the pack" he spoke softly.
"Anytime, you slept through Stevie coming to get Pup. It was good to see you sleep well" you flushed and paused for a moment to watch him. He gave another shy smile, and a nod before he started heading to his room. You vowed that you would keep this in your memory for the rest of your life. Waking up next to him, snuggled in was an amazing feeling, and the butterflies were rampant in your stomach. You ran into the closet and grabbed a pair of light blue jeans, and a form fitting white shirt. You decided against a sweater, since it looked nice outside and put on your socks and sneakers. You ran into the bathroom and put on very light makeup and lip gloss to make sure that you looked presentable, and re-braided your hair before running to the breakfast table.

You saw that Bucky was sitting across from your spot, and your mom was in Pietro's normal spot, and the boys were moved down a bit. You hustled over and sat down with flushed cheeks. "Sorry I'm late" you finally said as you sat.
"You're not that late, you seemed to be sleeping well this morning" your mother gave you a smirk and knowing look.
"How was your morning walk?" you decided to try to skip the subject and saw that Vision had all three Pups sitting beside Wanda, and had a huge grin on his face.
"The wolves talk a lot, I can understand a bit why you are struggling. You'll have to learn to focus more on everything around you, especially if this is the line of work you insist on being in. I know you wont go home with me" she sighed dramatically.
"You could always move closer" you shrugged.
"No, I like where I am, but I do want you to visit more often, and call more often. I'm staying a few more days before I go back" she warned you.
"We do have the jet to bring you for visits" Tony offered. "That way you don't have to make such a long drive, and go for smaller trips"
"She talked to you about this already, didn't she?" you looked at him and he grinned.
"First day she was here" he admitted. "We have an understanding. Clint's going to fly her home in a few days to save on the flight back"
"How did you sleep?" Wanda looked at you knowingly.
"So much better than I did in that cell, that's for sure" you flushed. "It's the best nights sleep I've had in over a year" you admitted. "I felt safe for the first time in a long time"
"That's good, being safe is important" she raised an eyebrow and glanced to Bucky before going back to her food.
"How did you sleep Bucky?" Clint looked up with a knowing smile. He looked like he was holding onto a secret, and you had a feeling he knew exactly where Bucky slept last night.
"Best night's sleep in a long time. I feel refreshed today" Bucky flushed a bit.
"I heard you slept with the pack" Sam didn't bother holding back, and your face went red at the same time as Bucky's.
"They are pretty warm. I was helping with Pup during the night" he quickly responded. "Keep your mind out of the gutter bird brain"
"Your mom let the cat out of the bag" Pietro grinned at you.
"Mama" you looked at her with flushed cheeks.
"There's nothing wrong with sleeping with the pack, Cloud explained it to me very clearly" your mom shrugged with a grin. "Snow is going to be giving me more grand puppies I found out this morning as well"
"She told me about that when we were being held in the cells" you admitted softly.
"The more the merrier" Tony spoke quickly. "I'm buying more land, so we will have more room for them to go for pack runs"
"Tony, that's so wonderful!" you dropped your fork. "Really?!"
"Well, Pepper and I have a pup too, and so does Natasha and Bruce. They will need the room to go with your companions" Tony shrugged. "I think it's the best possible outcome for us all. Besides, they are all domesticated, mostly"
"They will be" Billy came around the corner.
"I was wondering, if I paid for it, can I have a groomer come to the compound? They all need a good grooming, and I need to wash my bedding soon" you bit your bottom lip.
"I'll pay for it, and have them here this afternoon. Your bedding, don't worry about it. I'll have the staff come in and do a cleaning while you are out. You are only supposed to be responsible for your laundry" he informed you quickly.
"I can pay... you pay me enough money" you started and he shook his head.
"I insist" he shrugged. "Let me take care of the pack"
"Billy too, he needs to show Melody, Jasper and Snow how to act" you went back to eating.
"That goes without saying" Tony was already on his phone and you could tell he was getting the groomer's to come today. "Your mom said that after the pet store you had a few places to go"
"We do?" you looked at your mom.
"We do. One place is the book store, you clearly need more books before I go. I also wanted to see if we could go by your old cabin and see if there's anything else we can salvage" she spoke gently.
"Oh mama, you don't want to see it the way I last saw it" you shook your head. "Its not the same place at all"
"Well, its not up to you. I want to see for myself what drove you out of your own home. Bucky will be driving us. Does he know the way?" she asked gently.
"No" you shook your head.
"I do" Bucky corrected you and you looked at him surprised. "I was curious about you when you first started with the team, and followed you home once or twice" he blushed. "I didn't trust your secret"
"I had no idea" you blushed a deep red.
"I didn't go any further than just the front. It wasn't creepy" he flushed a bit.
"Following her home is creepy dude" Sam shook his head at him.
"I wasn't trying to be creepy bird brain. She was hiding something, and I wanted to know what it was. Neither time did anything pan out" he shook his head. "It was the first two weeks she was with us"
"Shawn was in jail then. After two weeks, when he got out he caught me off guard and attacked me with a baseball bat in the front yard, so you obviously weren't following me then, or else you would have known" you admitted softly.
"You should never have gone through that alone" your mother sighed heavily.
"I had my Cloud" you looked at her honestly. "I always thought as long as I had my companion, I wasn't alone"
"You had a whole team waiting for you to take the help" Wanda reminded you.
"It only took eight months to figure that out" you gave a small smile.
"I'm relieved you live here now, its good your surrounded with such good people" your mom touched your hand softly. "I'm glad I came to visit, and even with the near heart attack of you being kidnapped, I'm glad I was here for that too. Cloud was able to see through your eyes and assure me that you were as safe as you could be. I also saw that footage from Redwing..." she paused. "I'm not worried anymore of you defending yourself. You took on men three times your size easily. I still don't think this is the safest job, but I'm proud of you" your mom gave you a kiss on the cheek.
"Thank you mama, that means a lot" you smiled.
"I'm proud of you too pup" Billy's voice filled your head and you looked over at him with a smile.
"I think we are getting spoiled already with this food. Its so good" Snow came to you and put her head on your lap. Pietro ran to go get some wet paper towels and put some in the center of the table, and handed you one. You quickly washed her face for her.
"Its three times a day you eat like this" you smiled at her happily.
"Will we still be able to go for a pack run?" Jasper asked gently, coming to you and you wiped his face as well.
"Yes, of course you can go for pack runs" you said out loud for everyone's benefit. "There's fencing in the woods, Cloud and Melody know the way. Just no hunting cats, that's my only rule"
"We don't really need to hunt with all this good food" Cloud went to Bucky who quickly washed his face, then turned to Melody who was waiting patiently. "It just feels good to run"
"Since you're all getting groomed today, why don't you take a few hours and go for your pack run now?" you kept speaking out loud. "I'm headed out for a bit anyways" you shrugged.
"That's a great idea" Steve smiled over. "They could probably use it to burn off the extra energy"
"Cloud, Melody, I expect you two to show them the way around the grounds" you looked at them expectantly.
"We will" Melody barked. You got up and put your plate in the sink and went to the living room balcony.
"Be safe today pup" Cloud jumped up and licked you on the cheek before running out the door. Melody followed suit and licked you on the cheek as well. Jasper and Snow shyly walked past and then started chasing after the other two. You didn't expect them to start showing affection this soon anyways. You came back into the dining room and saw Bucky standing up with his dark blue jeans, and his blue Henley. He gave you a smile, and you felt the butterflies again and you smiled back at him.
"Alright, we are on puppy duty" Tony announced and Bruce took the pup from Nat.
"I'll take care of Pup while your gone" Vision smiled at you.
"It can be a group effort, they have a lot to do today" Clint grinned. "Don't forget we need more bottles and formula, we are really running low on formula"
"I've got the credit card ready" Happy smiled proudly.
"Alright, lets go" Pepper stood up and followed Nat and Happy.
"I'm coming" Steve announced. "I'll go with Bucky's car" he gave a shy smile. You nodded, and your mom picked up her purse.
"Stay and help take care of the pups" your mom said out loud to Billy who gave a small bark.
"I just need to grab my purse" you ran to your room and came outside to see Bucky was in the front with your mom, and Steve was waiting and holding the door open for you. You smiled and slipped in.
