After enjoying a good breakfast, Zoe and Barry make their way downstairs to the lobby, while Chloe goes down the same stairwell.

Chloe: Morning, Zoe. And…Barry?! What're you doing here?

Barry: I had a rough evening yesterday. Thankfully, your sister was kind enough to let me stay the night.

Chloe: That's too bad I didn't know about it. We could've had a sleepover, together.

Barry: (Chuckles) I'm not sure if you and I have the same definition of “sleepover,” Chloe. But hopefully, if I'm not too busy, we could all study together sometime. If that's okay with you, Zoe.

Zoe smiles warmly.

Zoe: Fine by me. You're always welcome here anytime, Barr.

Barry nods, gratefully.
Unfortunately, the moment was interrupted by the shrieking and complaining of a blonde woman, wearing sunglasses, and a mostly white designer pantsuit with a small portion of black on the right side. She was also wearing a large black hat, with a gold band and rose.

Audrey: Jean Claude! Or, whatever your ridiculous name is! Where is Anthony, uh, Andre?!

Barry: Oh, boy. I know who that voice belongs to.

Zoe: Yep. That's, and I can't believe I'm saying this, our mother. Audrey Bourgeois.

Armand: Mademoiselle Bourgeois. Your husband is in his office, at City Hall. And I've told you, my name is–

Audrey interrupts him.

Audrey: Nevermind that! Where are my daughters?! They're going to be late for school.

She turns to see her daughters and Barry reaching the ground level.

Audrey: Casserole, Xerox, or whoever you are. Where have you been?!

She glares at Barry.

Audrey: And who's this boy, and what's he doing here?!

Barry: And good morning, to you too. My name is Barry, and I was simply staying the night, courtesy of your daughter, Zoe. Because I was too far from my apartment.

Audrey turns to Zoe, aggravatedly.

Audrey: You had a boy sleep in your bedroom last night, Xanax?!

Zoe winces at her mother's fury, but before she could respond, Barry interjects with a calm, but confident, tone.

Barry: Her name is Zoe. And I assure you, we weren't doing anything inappropriate. She just gave me a place to sleep for the night, that's all.

This further infuriates Audrey.

Audrey: Excuse me, but I wasn't talking to you, Barracuda!

Barry: But you are now. And frankly, I wouldn't even consider doing such things with either Zoe, or Chloe. Unlike most boys.

Chloe and Zoe look on, anxiously, as Barry continues to stare Audrey down without fear, even as she looks down at him, menacingly.

Audrey: Young man, do you have any idea who you're talking to? I am Audrey Bourgeois. The Style Queen of Paris. And you'll do well to mind your manners around me!

Barry crosses his arms defiantly.

Barry: And my name is Barry Allen. Not Bart, not “Barracuda,” Barry. And if you had any sense, underneath that oversized umbrella of a hat. You'd remember that, along with Chloe and Zoe's names, too.

Chloe and Zoe’s eyes grow wide with shock, as Barry insults their mother's hat. Chloe leans in close, and whispers to Barry.

Chloe: (Whispers nervously) Barry, what're you doing?!

Barry holds up a hand. Letting her, and Zoe, know he can handle it. Now, Audrey's frustration was worse than ever.

Audrey: ARE YOU SAYING THAT I HAVE NO SENSE OF STYLE OR TASTE?!

Barry: Hey, you said it. Not me.

Audrey snarls, furiously.

Audrey: (Growling) How dare you insult me?! YOU'RE FIRED!

Barry: You can't fire me, I don't work for you.

(Honk, Honk!)

Just then, the limo pulls up.

Barry: And that's our cue. Now, if you'll excuse us, we have to get to school. We must keep to time, you know.

And with that, Barry, and the two sisters head out to the limo.
Audrey was still fuming.

Audrey: Hold on, we're not done here-!

Barry: Oh, I think we are. Have a good day, Mrs. Aurora Bourgeois.

Barry exits the rotating door, grinning. And leaving Audrey absolutely outraged.

Barry enters the limo, and it drives off.

Chloe: Oh, my gosh, Barry! What were you thinking?!

Zoe: Yeah, nobody has ever spoken to our mother like that, and walked away.

Barry: Come on, guys. It's not like she gave me much choice.

Zoe: All the same, you shouldn't have provoked her, like that.

Barry: What can she do, threaten to fire me?
I'm not afraid of her. Besides, there's no way I was just gonna stand by and let her insult you two.
I don't care if she's your mother or not. Nobody talks to my friends like that.

Zoe and Chloe smile, sweetly.

Zoe: Thanks, Barry.

Chloe: Yeah, you're a good friend.

Barry grins warmly, as they head to the school.
