Back at the school, Marinette and the other students were in their final class for the day. Lila, meanwhile, keeps hearing voices making negative remarks regarding her friendship with Barry.

???:--Frgtabtyou–

???:--Brrydsntcarrrreabtyou–

???:--LYINGTOYOUUUUU–

Marinette was hearing the same voices, but these voices kept telling her what a failure she was. How she didn't deserve to call herself Ladybug.

???: “--Fllureculdnnntsavvveyrrremottther–”

???: “--LilllaandChhloee–”

???: “--Yourgreatstenmiesss–”

As the students exit the school, Lila and Marinette's intrusive voices keep getting more and more intrusive.
Unknown to either of the girls, Reverse Flash was vibrating beyond the visible spectrum. Rushing back and forth between the two of them, whispering at such high speeds, that his words seemed like their own thoughts.

Reverse Flash: “--She's waiting for the perfect opportunity. Barry’s not your real friend. He’s manipulating both of you–!”

Eventually, Lila and Marinette had enough.

Lila: Leave me alone!

Marinette: Stop it! STOP IT!

The giant kaleidoscope shudder opens, and Hawk Moth stands in the center of his observatory, the sunlight beaming down on him.

Hawk Moth: I sense a hint of negativity, burdening these two rivals.

Hawk Moth stops for a second, realizing that something wasn't right.

Hawk Moth: Wait, something's wrong. These negative thoughts, they're not emanating from either of these teens.

Suddenly, an Akuma enters the lair from the center of the observatory window. Much to Hawk Moth's confusion.

Hawk Moth: What on earth?! I don't remember releasing an Akuma!

The Akuma lands on Hawk Moth's cane, and a purple outline around Hawk Moth's chrome mask appears, and Falena Falco's voice is heard.

Falena Falco: Hello, Hawk Moth. It's been a while since we've crossed paths.

Hawk Moth: Lila Rossi?!

He suddenly feels a sharp twinge of pain in his chest. As Falco clenches her fist, in annoyance.

Falena Falco: You will address me as Falena Falco!

Hawk Moth: My apologies, Falena Falco.

She uncurled her fist, and Hawk Moth's pain subsides.

Falena Falco: That's better. Now, you and I need to talk.
So listen very, very, carefully. Because I hate having to repeat myself.

Back at Tsurugi Industries, Barry goes through the archives, looking through the digital and physical records for all the missing projects.

Barry: What's the serial number for the missing power cell?

Tomoe: Prototype: PCG-817-1

Barry: Okay…817-1…

Barry mumbles as he uses his super-speed to search for the record.

Barry: Ah, here it is. And what was the serial number for the Particle Transitioner?

Tomoe holds up the manila envelope for the device.

Tomoe: It's right here. Project JSG-683. The Particle Transitioner prototype.

Barry turns around and inspects the document.

Barry: What exactly was this device supposed to be used for, Tsurugi-san?

Tomoe: It was made to alter a particle's molecular arrangement. Essentially altering its atomic structure to become an entirely different particle.

She feels around for a bottle of water.

Tomoe: Take this water bottle, for example. With the Particle Transitioner, you could restructure the hydrogen and oxygen molecules in the bottle to make any sort of liquid, such as orange juice. And vice versa.

Barry: I see. And what exactly did this Particle Transitioner look like?

Tomoe: I wouldn't know. But I know it was round in shape, but was no thinner than a floppy disk. In the wrong hands, these devices could be capable of doing extremely terrible things.

Barry writes down the description of the device on his notepad.

Barry: Okay. And, what did you do when you found out it went missing? You said that it was equipped with a tracking device?

Tomoe: That's right. I followed the tracker to Gabriel-san’s residence. I was under the impression that he might've taken it.
But when I went to confront him, all I found was the tracker in his vault.

Barry: Okay.

He writes down Tomoe’s statement.

Barry: That brings me to my next question. What exactly is your partnership between you and Gabriel Agreste?

Now this was enough to make Tomoe suspicious.

Tomoe: Why exactly do you wish to know, dear boy?

Barry: Because if the tracker was found in his residence, wouldn't that mean he's probably hiding it somewhere in his house?
It's important to investigate all avenues.

Tomoe: Very well. My brand often partner's with Gabriel-san's to produce things like cars, and private jets. As well as electronics such as tablets and cell phone scramblers. All of which were designed with assistance from Gabriel-san himself.

Barry takes note of everything Tomoe is saying.

Barry: Mmm-hmm. Interesting.

He closes the notepad.

Barry: Okay, we'll look into it, thank you for your help, Tsurugi-san.

She nods in response, and shakes Barry's hand.
And with that, Barry exits the archives.
