Rias paced back and forth, her crimson hair trailing like a fiery banner. "That mist wasn't just a test," she said, breaking the silence. "It was a message."
"More like a warning," Akeno replied from her spot near the window, her tone uncharacteristically serious. "Whoever created it knew us—our fears, our regrets. They wanted to break us."
"Or distract us," Y/n added, his arms crossed as he leaned against the wall. "If someone wanted to weaken you, shaking your confidence would be a good place to start."
Rias turned to face him, her expression a mixture of determination and frustration. "And what about you? The mist didn't affect you. Why?"
Y/n's crimson eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of something unreadable crossing his face. "Maybe I don't have regrets. Or maybe I'm just better at burying them."
Before anyone could press further, a familiar magic circle appeared on the floor, glowing with intricate runes. Grayfia stepped through, her composed demeanor immediately commanding attention.
"Lady Rias," she said, bowing slightly. "We have a situation."
"What is it?" Rias asked, straightening.
Grayfia's expression remained calm, but her tone carried an edge of urgency. "The disturbances in the Underworld have escalated. Reports confirm that Loki, the Norse god of mischief, is behind them."
"Loki?" Xenovia repeated, her grip tightening on her sword. "What's he doing here?"
"That remains unclear," Grayfia replied. "However, his actions are destabilizing the balance of power. If left unchecked, the consequences could be catastrophic."
Akeno frowned. "Why would Loki target the Underworld? What's his goal?"
Grayfia hesitated for a moment, her gaze flickering to Y/n. "There is... one other matter. Loki's energy signature is intertwined with three distinct presences. Ancient, powerful, and... destructive."
Y/n's expression darkened. "Let me guess. Fenrir, Jormungandr, and Hel?"
Grayfia:"Yes... May I ask how you know that?"
Rias:"Yeah y/n how do you know that since we all only just found out ourselves?"
Y/n:'Shit, shit, shit I've nearly outed myself again.'
Y/n:"Uhhhhh... let's just say I'm quite nerdy with some things so yeah ha ha ha..."
Akeno:"Fufufu looks like there lies a little nerd under all that masculine brovado."
Y/n:"Oh wouldn't you like to know love but if you think I'm nerdy you should talk to nothing behind blue eyes over there."
He said this while pointing at Rias which said girl took a few seconds to catch on to what he ment and then said.
Rias:"Hey! I'm not nerdy."
She said while stuttering and blushing and this childish behaviour between rias and y/n proved as a break for the group but after a while Grayfia got back to the original point.
Grayfia coughed grabbing the attention of the room's population. "Y/n is correct. Their energies match the disturbances we recorded."
Rias earlier playful persona fell and then she clenched her fists in realisation. "This isn't just about Loki. He's mobilizing his children. This is a declaration of war."
"And if we don't stop him soon," Grayfia continued, "the damage will spread far beyond the Underworld."
Y/n's gaze sharpened. "This isn't just about the Underworld. If those three get loose, they'll bring chaos wherever they go."
"And what about you?" Rias asked, her eyes meeting his. "Will you fight with us?"
Y/n smirked faintly. "Of course. But don't expect me to hold your hand. If Loki's as dangerous as you say, you'll need to step up."
Rias's eyes burned with determination. "We will. Together."
Scene Change – Loki's Lair
Loki stood before the artifact, his grin ever-present. Around him, the shadows seemed alive, twisting and writhing as if in anticipation.
Fenrir paced restlessly, its claws clicking against the stone floor.
Jormungandr coiled tighter, its massive form radiating tension.
Hel stood silently, her cold gaze fixed on her father.
"Soon," Loki said, his voice almost a whisper. "Soon, the devils will come. And when they do..." He turned, his grin widening. "...we'll give them a show they'll never forget."
