As the plan was laid out at Issei's house, Azazel stood at the head of the room, flanked by Issei, Rias, and their allies. The tension in the air was palpable, everyone aware of the stakes at hand.
"We can't fight Loki and Fenrir blindly," Azazel began. "They're far too powerful, and we're lacking critical information. That's why I've called for help."
The group turned to the doorway as heavy footsteps echoed through the house. A massive shadow loomed before the figure stepped in, revealing a towering dragon-man with rugged features, dark purple scales, and eyes glowing like molten lava.
"Everyone, this is Tannin," Azazel announced, gesturing toward the newcomer. "Former Dragon King and one of the strongest dragons I've ever known. He's been helping with the Alliance and agreed to lend us his aid in this fight."
"A Dragon King?" Issei blurted out, his eyes wide with amazement.
Tannin let out a deep, rumbling chuckle. "That's right, kid. I may not hold the title anymore, but I'm still more than capable of teaching a brat like you a thing or two."
Rias nodded respectfully. "It's an honor to meet you, Tannin. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated."
Tannin folded his arms, his towering frame making even the largest people in the room feel small. "Azazel told me about your situation. Loki and Fenrir are no joke. If you want to stand a chance, you'll need more than brute strength—you'll need strategy, discipline, and some serious dragon fire."
"Dragon fire?" Issei asked, blinking.
"That's right," Tannin said, a grin spreading across his face. "And if you're lucky, I might just teach you how to use it."
After the introductions, Azazel turned the group's attention back to the task at hand.
"With Tannin's help, we'll have the firepower we need. But we're still missing critical information about Fenrir. That's where Midgardsormr comes in," Azazel explained.
"Midgardsormr?" Saji asked, raising an eyebrow.
"One of the Five Dragon Kings," Azazel clarified. "He's reclusive and temperamental, but he has the knowledge we need about Fenrir's strengths and weaknesses. If we can convince him to help us, we'll have a fighting chance."
"However only some of us can go." Azazel provoking questions among the group. "Only a few of us can go since the rest of us need to stay here and protect Odin while also keeping Loki off our tracks."
The group agreed and then questioned:
"Who will be going to see the dragon king then Azazel?" Rias asked with a tint of excitement in her tone.
"Sorry to burst your bubble Rias but your staying here." This statement made the girls shoulders drop and then she sighed in disappointment. "The ones who will be going along with me and tannin will be: issei, Vali, and now that Sona and her peerage decided to lend a hand Saji is coming with us.
With the discussions out of the way both groups got to their task and Azazel and co. Made their way to maybe their only chance at winning.
The Journey to Midgardsormr
The freezing winds of the mountain terrain lashed against Issei's face as he trudged alongside Azazel, Saji, Vali, and Tannin. Snow crunched beneath their feet, and the air grew thinner with every step. Behind them, the setting sun painted the sky in hues of fiery orange and deep crimson, a stark contrast to the cold, unforgiving path ahead.
The group had set out after receiving Azazel's orders. With the rest of the Occult Research Club staying behind to guard Odin in Kuoh, it was now up to them to gather information about Fenrir's weaknesses.
