The ground beneath Y/n's feet cracked as he barely dodged another flick of Gojo's hand, a ripple of energy detonating where he'd been standing a split second earlier. The guy wasn't even trying, and it was pissing him off.

"You're slower than I thought," Gojo teased, his smirk practically radiating arrogance. "And here I was hoping you'd at least make me break a sweat."

"Funny," Y/n snapped, sliding to a stop. His eyes burned, crimson slashes cutting through the darkness. "I was thinking the same thing about you."

Gojo raised an eyebrow beneath his blindfold. "Oh? Still got some bark left, huh?" He cocked his head, the grin on his face widening. "But where's the bite? No cursed energy, no tricks, nothing to fall back on. Face it, kid—you're out of your depth."

"Depth?" Y/n scoffed, flexing his hands as he adjusted his stance. "Depth's overrated. All you really need..." He lunged forward, his speed barely registering as a blur, "is to hit harder!"

His fist collided with Gojo's Infinity—a barrier that warped space itself—but instead of being flung back, Y/n twisted mid-strike, letting his momentum carry him into a vicious roundhouse kick. The sheer force of it sent a shockwave rippling outward, cracking the air like thunder.

Gojo didn't even flinch. "Cute," he said, almost laughing. "You really think you can outsmart physics?"

"Physics can kiss my ass," Y/n snarled, landing on his feet. His breaths were coming faster now, the weight of the Anti-Spiral's meddling bearing down on him. No cursed energy, no backup, just raw instinct and whatever stubbornness kept him standing.

Elsewhere – The ORC's Trials

The dark mist wrapped around the members of the Occult Research Club like a suffocating shroud, pulling each of them into their own personal hell. The Trials weren't random. They were crafted, tailored to exploit the deepest cracks in their minds, tearing at wounds they tried to hide.

Rias's Trial – "The Crimson Shadow"

Rias stood in the ruins of her family's mansion. The grand halls were silent, empty, and cold. The Gremory crest on the walls was cracked and burned, and the once-proud legacy of her lineage lay in ruins. The air was heavy with the metallic tang of blood.

"Rias Gremory," a voice whispered, soft and venomous.

She turned, coming face to face with her doppelgänger. It wasn't just a copy—it was her, but hollow. Her skin was pale as ash, her eyes dull and lifeless, and her voice carried none of the warmth Rias knew as her own.

"They trusted you," the shadow said, stepping closer. "You let them down. You let them die."

"No," Rias said firmly, though her voice shook. "I won't let that happen. Not to them."

The shadow tilted its head, mocking. "Really? You'll protect them? Like you protected him?"

The air shifted, and suddenly, Rias was back in the underworld. A broken, bloody Issei lay at her feet, his Boosted Gear shattered and useless. The rest of the ORC surrounded her—dead. Their bodies were lifeless, their faces contorted in pain.

"Stop it!" Rias shouted, her power flaring, flames of destruction igniting around her.

But the shadow only laughed. "You know it's true. Without you, they're nothing. And with you, they'll suffer the same fate."

Tears burned in Rias's eyes as she screamed, summoning every ounce of her power. The flames raged, consuming the vision around her, but even as the illusion began to crack, the shadow's voice lingered.
