(Go back and read the previous chapter again I changed it and this one will make no sense if you don't re read it.)
The void stretched endlessly in every direction, silent yet suffocating. Y/N stood at its center, his body battered from the battle with Sukuna, yet his mind sharp. The aftermath of his victory lingered in his thoughts—the raw power he had unleashed, the collapse of Sukuna's overwhelming presence, and now this... this strange, otherworldly limbo.
The air around him rippled, and a familiar figure materialized before him. The Anti-Spiral.
"You've done well," the Anti-Spiral said, its voice reverberating with the weight of countless realities. "You have proven your will to surpass the impossible. Even the King of Curses fell before your resolve."
Y/N straightened despite the pain in his body. "Spare me the congratulations. You sent me into that fight knowing I could die."
The Anti-Spiral tilted its head slightly, its unblinking gaze fixed on him. "And yet you did not. Tell me, Y/N, do you understand now? The nature of your existence, the purpose behind your trials?"
Y/N frowned. He wanted to lash out, to demand answers, but deep down, he knew. This wasn't just about strength. It wasn't even about winning. It was about growth. Transformation.
"You wanted me to break my own limits," Y/N said finally, his voice quieter now. "Not just in power, but in understanding. You wanted me to evolve."
The Anti-Spiral's lips curled into the faintest shadow of a smile. "Precisely. To stand against the currents of fate, you must become more than what you were. You must become infinite, not in name, but in spirit."
Y/N clenched his fists, his mind racing. He thought back to the battle—the moment he created the Scarlet Collapse. The technique had come to him not through planning or training, but through necessity. Through instinct.
"You forced me into a corner," Y/N said bitterly. "You made sure I had no choice but to adapt."
"Adversity breeds evolution," the Anti-Spiral replied. "In your despair, you glimpsed the truth of your potential. Do not mourn the struggle. Embrace it."
For a moment, the void was silent. Y/N's breathing slowed as he processed the words. He hated to admit it, but the Anti-Spiral was right. Without that fight, without the impossible odds, he never would've reached this new level of power.
Still, one question lingered in his mind.
"What happens now?" Y/N asked, his crimson eyes narrowing. "You've tested me, pushed me to my limit. Are we done, or is there something else you're not telling me?"
The Anti-Spiral stepped closer, its towering form radiating an eerie calm. "The path ahead is yours to walk. I have given you the tools, the perspective, and the strength to carve your own destiny. Whether you rise as a hero or fall as a tyrant is no longer my concern."
Y/N's gaze hardened. "And what if I refuse to play your game? What if I reject all of this?"
"You cannot," the Anti-Spiral said simply. "You have already chosen, even if you do not realize it."
The figure raised its hand, and the white void began to shift. The emptiness around Y/N started to dissolve, replaced by the faint outline of the real world.
"Your time here is over," the Anti-Spiral continued. "Return to your world, Y/N. But remember this—your battles are far from over. The true test has yet to begin."
Light flooded Y/N's vision as he was pulled back into reality. The transition was jarring, like being yanked from the depths of a dream. When the blinding glow subsided, he found himself lying on the cold ground, his body trembling from exhaustion.
The scent of earth and damp stone filled his senses, and as he opened his eyes, he realized he was near the entrance of the cave where the Occult Research Club was resting. The familiar rocky terrain grounded him, a stark contrast to the chaos he had endured in the other dimension.
Y/N groaned as he pushed himself to his knees. His body felt like it had been through hell, and though there were no visible wounds, the strain of using the Scarlet Collapse and the battle with Sukuna left him utterly drained.
The soft sound of footsteps reached his ears, and he looked up to see Rias, Akeno, and Koneko standing at the cave entrance, their faces etched with surprise and confusion.
"Y/N?" Rias called out, her voice laced with concern. "Where have you been? You vanished out of nowhere it's been hours on and also...WHAT ON LUCIFER WAS THAT VOICE AND WHAT DID YOU MEAN WE ARE BETTER OFF NOT KNOWING!"
Y/N's mind raced completely silencing out Rias outrage. To him, the battle and his time in the void had felt like days, maybe even weeks, but here, it had only been hours.
"I needed to deal with something that had to be done don't worry about it," Y/N muttered, his voice hoarse. "And for the voice I don't exactly know myself."
'Let's see if she believes that.' The boy lazily thought his previous fights effects were slowly beginning to arise onto his body.
Rias raised an eyebrow, unconvinced and unsatisfied by his answer. "Deal with what? We are supposed to be a team y/n you can't keep hiding stuff from us like this. As for the voice if you truly don't know I'll let it go for now but.."
Y/N forced himself to stand, brushing off her concern with a wave of his hand. "I did just as I said, I dealt with some important matters that needed my attention and i pushed myself a bit far while doing it that's all there is too it nothing more nothing less." The boy said in a careless tone which was put on to hide his exhaustion and true feelings.
Akeno stepped closer, her sharp eyes scanning him. "Your aura feels different," she said quietly. "More... intense are you positive that all you did was "deal with some buisness" because to me it seems to be a lot more intense and important than your making it out to be." The raven haired young woman said with suspicion towards the boys statement causing a beed of sweat to run down his face.
Y/N didn't respond. He couldn't tell them the truth—not about Sukuna, the Anti-Spiral, or the scarlet collapse. They wouldn't understand, and even if they did, it would only raise more questions.
"I'm fine," he said firmly. "Let's just get back to the others."
Koneko gave him a skeptical look but said nothing. Together, they made their way back into the cave, where the rest of the ORC was waiting. As Y/N entered, he felt their gazes on him—Issei's curious yet wary eyes, Asia's concern, and Kiba's quiet observation.
"You were gone for a long time," Kiba remarked. "Did you complete what that voice took took you away for?"
Y/N's lips curled into a faint smirk. "Something like that."
He settled into a corner of the cave, letting the conversation shift to the group's plans for the next day. But as he closed his eyes, his mind remained restless.
The battle with Sukuna was over, but the Anti-Spiral's words echoed in his thoughts.
"The true test has yet to begin."
Y/N clenched his fists, a flicker of determination igniting in his crimson eyes. Whatever came next, he would be ready.
'What kind of fucked up game have you roped me
Into you sludge like bastard.' That was the boys last thought before he allowed his exhaustion to claim his mind and body and put him to sleep letting the boy sleep for the first time in what felt like forever.
