KS strode silently to her house, catching a glance at the baby snuggling in Puspha Ji's hands. Unbeknownst to her, a smile lit her face, the baby's round face smiling at her. She stared at him, her emotions soaring as the little figure continued to melt her heart. She composed herself, drawing a wall between her emotions, vowing into the silent night.

She knew that the battle had just begun but she was KS.

KS would protect her love at all costs.

Back at the station, KS isolated herself from her team avoiding any unwanted questions and interactions. She let her frustrations out on the table, violently punching and pounding the surface at random intervals, unsettling the whole of MPT. Everyone looked at her, their gazes flinching with sympathy yet none dared to disturb her.

KS grabbed the ends of the table, gripping the corners until her hands washed into a bleak white. She stared at her phone, the dark screen grinning back at her. Veyom still hadn't called her.

Enough is enough, KS yelled to herself. She trusted Veyom but his lack of response was irritating her. She clenched her jaw hard, grinding her teeth together. How could he busy that he couldn't even call her once? She snapped, her anger boiling deep. KS knew that Veyom was unreachable, that his work in international waters kept him away from his phone. But, KS wasn't thinking. As a wife, she needed her husband to call her. That was it. Without question.

She grabbed her phone and switched it off, an evil smile winning over her anger.

Mr. Veyom, she muttered to herself. When you find time to call me, I will show you the real bhaukhal of KS.

Meanwhile Haseena rushed out of her cabin, her thoughts perturbed with KS's condition. She stopped near KS's desk, throwing a sympathetic glance at her. Haseena stepped forward, lightly tapping her desk with a baton.

KS awoke with a start as she fumbled to stand and greet her senior. She lowered her head down, pinching her fingers together.

Haseena threw a stern glance at her, gesturing KS to follow her. Wordlessly, she climbed into her jeep as KS followed her obediently. Haseena drove, stealing glances at KS, her pouted lips curling into a smile. KS stood fidgeting in the seat, playing with her fingers as she desperately avoided Haseena's gaze.

Haseena smiled and kept driving until she stopped at a small café isolated from the bustling traffic. KS got down, eyeing the place suspiciously, darting constantly at Haseena.

"Madam Sir...." She began but stopped short sensing Haseena's glaring eyes.

They sat down at a nearby bench as Haseena ordered two scoops of ice-cream. Wordlessly, they tucked in, the rich and silky smooth texture washing their palates in a cleansing cool aftertaste.

"KS...." Haseena called suddenly, licking the wooden spoon.

KS looked up, freezing mid-air, the spoon tightening in her grasp.

"How are you holding up?" she asked.

KS let down the spoon and almost laughed, a dry chuckle escaping her lips. "What should I tell you madam si?" she asked, staring at Haseena directly. "That I'm frustrated that some random woman is accusing my husband..?" she spat out while smacking the table with a loud bang. "Or that there isn't a shred of evidence against the woman?"

KS pushed the bench as she got up and walked away, leaving Haseena alone. Haseena too followed her, holding the ice-cream cup in her hand. KS was leaning against a tree, her eyes fixed on a blooming bud.

"Madam Sir, whenever I see flowers like this...new in bloom..." she said gently lifting her hand to trace the edges. "I always remember him...Veyom....he always used to bring me small flowers whenever he visited me...."
