Haseena smiled as KS lightened up. "Accha?" she asked, arching her eyebrows. "I heard that the bhaukhal KS doesn't even like flowers."
KS briefly looked at her before averting her gaze to the rose bud. "Haan madam sir, the bhaukhal SI KS indeed doesn't like flowers but Veyom's Karu...."
She stopped, her eyes widening in surprise as she realized what she said. KS bowed her head, her face brightening more than the rose bud she admired. Haseena edged closer, gently lifting her head with her forefinger, smiling deep into her eyes.
"Only Veyom can make KS blush like this...."
Haseena smiled as KS blushed again, a deep shade of tomato. Silently, Haseena scooped a spoonful of ice-cream and fed her, letting the chocolate work its magic.
"KS, there's no doubt about your love for each other. It's the force that binds you together. It's the strength that you always carry in your heart KS and today, you need it more than ever...."
KS smiled, gesturing for another spoon as she let out a shaky breath. "Honestly, madam sir, when I first read the letter I....doubted him....How could I not when I know that I myself have not being able to give him the love and care that he deserves?" she trailed off, a wake of hot tears glistening in her eyes.
She stared off into the distant horizon, her body trembling as she held off her tears. Haseena edged closer, keeping a hand on KS's shoulder, gently rubbing her shoulder.
"KS....You are not at fault for this..." she said, her voice confident and loud. "I've observed you from the beginning KS from a bhaukhal SI to a romantic Karu..." she paused, chuckling seeing KS's blushing faces. "You've fulfilled both your duties KS...that too faithfully...So please stop blaming yourself for this. You need to be strong for both of right now. Prove to the world that your love is timeless. That nobody and I mean nobody can stop you both."
KS turned, glancing directly at Haseena's eyes. She gulped her tears, nodding her head slowly as Haseena's words sank deeper into her mind.
"Madam Sir....I know I have to be strong and I promise you that I will prove that Veyom is innocent."
Haseena smiled, gripping KS's hand tightly. They embraced a close stillness, wrapped in the warmth of each other.
A loud buzz broke their silence. Haseena fished her phone, glancing at her screen, smiling as she saw the name. She held her phone towards KS, shaking it in her line of vision.
"Wah! What telepathy...." Haseena said, arching her eyebrows as KS rushed away, hiding her blushing face.

"Karu....."
Veyom spoke, her soft voice tingling in her ears. KS stood silent, the phone pressed to her ear.
"Karu......"
He said again, his voice dropping to a delicious low growl. Controlling herself, KS stood silent.
"The night flows silent as ever,
When the notes of our love,
Spring in the self-made echoes,
That connects our souls...."
His voice purred against her ears, the very sound making her flush with warmth. She smiled, despite her anger, her heart flowing with love.
"Vi......do you even know how long I waited for your call?"
"Haan Karu...sorry I was busy. I promise I'll make it up to you."
"You better..."
"How are you Karu....with everything?"
A long pause and a sigh. "I believe in you Vi. I'll prove that you aren't at fault. Trust me Vi..."
He chuckled. "Karu, I would trust you blindly, more than anything in the world. I don't care what the world says about me. All I care about is you..."
The couple kept talking late into the night, undisturbed by the nature's silent warnings. As the call ended, KS stared with a positive hope, her fight for her love growing stronger in her heart.
KS's unwavering and steadfast dedication to her duty shone as she cleared her husband's name and made the parents' realize their mistake in abandoning their child. The whole MPT saluted KS efforts as they celebrated her victory not only as an officer but as a woman.
KS walked out of the MPT, her head held high, a note of happiness strumming in her heart. She sat down at her favorite bench, staring at the afternoon sky, her fingers absentmindedly tracing the bouquet that had been left there.
She picked it up, laughing as she glanced at the assortments of sizes and colors. She held it close to her heart, the scent of Veyom's favorite perfume flooding her senses wrapping her in memories—of stolen glances, whispered promises, and love that had been tested but never broken.
As the scent drew in her breath, silent tears flew out her eyes; a recollection of the pain she'd been through. Love had never been easy for her. It had always been a battlefield; constant tests and trials. And yet, here she was, her love and her Veyom standing true as the stretching sun before her.
She whispered slowly into the air, "I did it Vi.....I proved our love...for you and for me...."
For the first time in days, her heart felt light. The weight of doubt and anguish that had threatened to drown her seemed to lift, replaced by an unshakable certainty.
