Fate/Pretender: Chapter Two

Start from the beginning

I remained in my spiritual mode in order to conserve my mana.

Shinji instructed me to watch over him during his time here but I had elected  to ignore his command in order to keep an eye out on my true master.

Suddenly I saw my master talking with a boy and for a moment my eyes widen this  kid he looked exactly like that man I thought replacing the red hair,  white skin, and amber eyes with white hair, dark tanned skin, and gray  steel eyes.

Could he be that man's younger self I thought.

My attention turned to the blond woman beside the familiar red haired boy  then I felt it the energy of a servant which means the boy is a master.

I automatically activated my presence concealment skill to hide my mana signature.

Discreetly I followed after the female servant to see what she was doing. The door  to one of the classrooms slid open revealing a man in a suit and the  blond servant stopped locking gazes with him.

She was right to do so....this man was not ordinary he held himself to much like me an Assassin I thought.

It's possible that he is a master.

I continued observing the scene with the red-haired boy quickly making some kind of lie up for his servant.

The  day soon passed and then everyone slowly left the school I leapt roof  to roof following my master. So, the boy Shirou was the master of Saber I  thought watching as both Sakura and his guardian fussed over him.

However, I did not miss the look of sadness on Sakura's face ah...she has feelings for Shirou doesn't she.

It's no wonder she keeps discreetly looking back at the Saber servant with a hint of anger.

Still  as much as I hated to do it, I will have to rely this information over  to Shinji 'Shinji there is a boy from your school who is the master of  Saber does the name Shirou sound familiar to you?' I mentally  communicated.

'WHAT EMIYA's A MAGUS?!' came the loud shout that made me wince slightly.

'Tch,  that idiot always acts so self-righteous but he's been hiding this the  whole time?' Shinji fumed 'And to top it all off he summoned Saber, of  all Servants! Damn it!' Shinji cursed.

I  remained silent letting him process the information after a few seconds  he exhaled sharply, his thoughts coming through clearer.

'Fine Keep watching him Assassin find out everything you can if he's in this war, we'll have to deal with him sooner or later.'

'If  I may suggest Shinji I would recommend you ally with this Emiya boy  having the Saber servant as an alley would certainly be useful' I  replied.

'Tch no way  we don't need his help! Your all we need to win this war Assassin' I  rolled my eyes 'you are being foolish Shinji clearly you do not know the  difference between I and the Saber class servant' I argued.

'Shut  the hell up and don't tell me what do Assassin!' was the retort I  received 'tomorrow we attack Emiya so be ready,' with that our  connection went silent.

What a complete moron I thought with a sigh.

-The Next Day-

I  watched as Shirou Emiya ran for his life with Sakura's older sister  Tohsaka Rin chasing after him. What terrible luck the boy must have to  not only have a master trying to kill him but to now also deal with  me....too bad I will not do so willingly.

'What  are you just standing around for Assassin kill him!' Shinji screamed 'I  will not do that Matou doing so would be foolish we should be making  allies with him not trying to create an enemy,' I once again tried to  reason.

'Tch by the  power of this command spell Assassin I order you to kill Emiya right  now!' instantly I felt the command take ahold of me.

Shinji's command was absolute.

Kill Shirou Emiya.

No hesitation, no mercy.

My  feet moved before I could think presence concealment dissolving as I  broke through the window behind the boy. Kanshou and Bakuya manifested  in my hands, the twin swords humming with restrained death.

I lunged.

Shirou turned eyes wide just in time to see me descending upon him.

His  instincts clumsy as they were, saved him he threw himself to the side  my blade slicing through empty air where his neck had been a second ago.

Rin reacted instantly her arm lifting, gems glowing between her fingers.

"A Servant!" she spat flicking her wrist.

A  burst of prana shot toward me I twisted barely evading as the explosive  force tore through the ground, dirt and debris flying in every  direction.

Shirou scrambled back, eyes darting between me and Rin, his mind struggling to keep up.

"Shinji,"  I gritted out forcing my thoughts through the mental link even as my  body moved against my will "you're making a mistake."

"No,  you're just being a coward!" he shot back, venom in his voice "you  think I can't win, don't you? That I'll lose to that idiot? Just shut up  and do what you're told!"

The  Tohsaka girl threw another volley of gems and I batted them away  outside with my swords their detonations shaking the air behind me.

Shirou  quickly grabbed a stool off from the ground "trace on...reinforce!" he  chanted with gritted teeth reinforcing the stool to become harder than  steel.

"Which  servant are you huh?!...A-And those swords they look like Archer's why"  the last part was said with a low mutter, but my sharp ears still caught  what the girl said.

I  dashed forward my movements fluid yet mechanical like a puppet on  strings Shirou barely had time to react before the black blade Kanshou,  came crashing down toward his head.

He raised the stool a foolish choice even reinforced it wouldn't hold.

Steel  clashed against his makeshift shield and cracks spread through the  reinforced wood like a spiderweb. The force of my strike sent him  stumbling back his arms trembling from the impact Rin wasted no time  "Emiya, get back!" she shouted flicking her wrist once more.

Three red spheres left her fingers, glowing with deadly prana.

I  pivoted spinning my twin blades in a defensive arc her attacks bursting  against my swords their explosion dispersing in a controlled shockwave  that I absorbed through my stance.

I  then purposely tossed both the married swords making it so that they  were close to decapitating the boy but instead scratch the boys cheeks  before being impaled on the wall 'there I've successfully attempted to  kill the boy but missed,' I thought feeling the command spell fade.

The married blades vanished away as well.

I  looked at the still tense and on guard masters "we'll just have to do  this some other time....later," I said vanishing away into astral mode.

Shinji's voice echoed in my mind, furious and unrelenting.

"Why the hell didn't you finish him, Assassin?! Do I need to remind you about my command spell?!" he growled seething with rage.

"I did try to kill the boy but simply missed unfortunately," I replied in a concealed tone of smugness which made him splutter.
