From the kitchen, Mom called out, "Lunch is almost ready!"
I shouted, "Mom, you're so biased! You've spoiled him since we were kids!"
"Then don't eat!"
"Pah! Someone who only comes home once a year has no right to say that!"
"And someone who didn't call home for a whole month does?"
I'd been so busy with work before the New Year that I kept forgetting to call. The guy really had his finger on the pulse.
Mom came out with the food, smiling. "Don't bully your sister."
I immediately tattled, "He's got such a foul mouth!"
