DRAY SITS IN TORIA'S OFFICE LISTENING TO MUSIC WHEN THERE IS A KNOCK AT THE DOOR. DRAY TURNS HIS MUSIC DOWN AND LOOKS TO THE DOOR TO SEE THAT OFFICER BRIGGS IS THERE. DRAY TURNS HIS MUSIC DOWN JUST ENOUGH TO HEAR WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.

[Officer Briggs]

Toria, do you have a second?

[Toria]

Yeah, sure. What's up?

[Officer Briggs]

Cool, I wanted you to talk to Hunter for a couple of seconds. I really want everything that I've been exposing to him to start sinking in. I believe that a different perspective will really get him to understand what it all means. The badge and the responsibility and I just wanted to take him to someone that I could trust to steer him in the right direction, you know?

[Dray]

(Thinking)

Well, this outta be good.

[Toria]

Okay, what did you want him to tell him?

[Officer Briggs]

Just what you think being a cop really means to you and how important it is to the community. Stuff like that you know. I'll go and fetch him real quick.

[Toria]

Okay, sure. That'll give me a couple of seconds to get my thoughts together.

[Officer Briggs]

OFFICER BRIGGS LEAVES THE ROOM. TORIA AND DRAY LOOK AT EACH OTHER. DRAY GIVES A LOOK OF DISBELIEF CONCERNING OFFICER BRIGGS.

[Toria]

(Mouthing)

A FEW MOMENTS LATER, OFFICER BRIGGS COMES BACK WITH HUNTER.

[Hunter]

Okay, so what's all of this about?

[Officer Briggs]

You're about to hear from one of the best what it means to be a cop. Just listen. Okay, Toria, you have the floor.

[Toria]

Oh, um, first off, hello Hunter. Your uncle wanted me to tell you about my thoughts on what it means to be a member of the police force. I would say the overall best thing about being a police officer is the chance to make the world a better place. I know that seems a little bit cliche and there are a lot of bad things said about cops but I know at least for me, I strive to be the best cop that I can because I want to make a difference. There's a lot of variety and depending on what you choose, so you most often will be able to choose something that you're good at. You may have the opportunity to save lives which is a big part of what the job is all about. Serving the community and making the world a better place.

[Officer Briggs]

That's what I'm talking about! Woo! This is why I came to you, Anderson! You know, Hunter came to me, told me that he could really finally understand the importance that policing has in modern society and I was ecstatic! I'm sure it's safe to say that you might have just sealed the deal, Anderson!

[Hunter]

Unc, this is great and all but I've... I'd just rather be doing anything else.
