Hey, I know you hear me talking to you. You're really into this show, aren't you?

TORIA DEVELOPS A NONPLUSSED LOOK ON HER FACE TOWARDS DRAY SHOOSHING HER. DRAY PUTS A FINGER OVER HIS MOUTH WHILE STILL BEING LOCKED INTO THE TV.
TORIA: (BALLOON)
I know you just didn't shoosh me.
DRAY: (BALLOON)
Shhhhhh!
TORIA: (BALLOON)
You know all that stuff is fake right?

DRAY LOOKS TOWARDS TORIA WITH A PEEVED LOOK ON HIS FACE.
DRAY: (BALLOON)
Seriously? I could say the same of you when you watch that schlep the Bachelor or the host of the litany of reality tv shows you love to ogle. And it's not fake. You at least can't prove that it's fake. Ghosts will always be way more real than any of that trash you watch.
TORIA: (BALLOON)
What makes you so sure?

Panel 1.
DRAY CONFIDENTLY PUTS A CLOSED FIST INTO HIS OPEN PALM WHILE LOOKING AT TORIA. TORIA TAKES A DISMISSIVE POSE.
DRAY: (BALLOON)
When we went to Mariana and stayed at Cousin Hannah's house; no one, not even mama would sleep in Deborah's room. She had all those creepy dolls that you could swear would move on their own. Especially the ventriloquist dolls.
TORIA: (BALLOON)
Well, if anything they were living dolls, not ghosts.
DRAY: (BALLOON)
You need a spirit, a.k.a. a ghost, to inhabit a doll to make it alive in the first place.
TORIA: (BALLOON)
The room had a funny smell.
Panel 2.
DRAY POINTS AT TORIA IN AN EXCLAMATORY FASHION WHILE TORIA TAKES A SKEPTIC POSTURE.
DRAY: (BALLOON)
Funny smell, pshh! Dolls will get mold and mildew all over them over time which is what causes them to stink and another reason to never keep them around. The real reason no one wanted to stay in there was because they were creeped out by the dolls that could have been possessed by ghosts!
TORIA: (BALLOON)
Well, the stories are always too good. There's always something to keep you hooked. I feel like if there's really a ghost then there would be subtle disturbances. If everything were grandiose I feel like you'd see a ghost every day.
Panel 3.
DRAY TAKES A DISMISSIVE POSTURE WHILE TORIA LOOKS MORE REASSURED.
DRAY: (BALLOON)
Cases vary, Toria, and at the core of it all, it is still entertainment. However, the world is a huge place. They're probably just grabbing the most ostentatious cases to bring forth.
TORIA: (BALLOON)
Yeah, well maybe they should have a toned-down season and see if anyone keeps watching.

PANEL OF DRAY LOOKING DISGRUNTLED AT THE TV WHILE TORIA DOES A COPACETIC GESTURE SIGNALING THAT SHE'LL LEAVE DRAY ALONE.
