CHIEF RITTER AND A COUPLE OF OTHER COPS EXCHANGE GUNFIRE WITH SOME LAKESIDE CREW GRUNTS. CHIEF RITTER TAKES COVER TO RELOAD AND AN OFFICER KNEELS BESIDE HIM.

I tell you what, Shade sure can disappear when he wants to.
[Chief Ritter]
I'll tell you something else. I wish everyone would make up their minds about Shade. One minute you want him gone and when things get tough you want him to save the day. If you really want to be a cop, get with the program. Let's end this!
CHIEF RITTER STANDS, SHOOTS THREE TIMES, AND HITS TWO LAKESIDE CREW GRUNTS. THE POLICE BEGIN TO PUSH THE LAKESIDE CREW MEMBERS BACK AND SOME OF THE LAKESIDE CREW MEMBERS BEGIN TRYING TO FLEE IN SOME CARS.

I don't get how they keep figuring out where the hell we were. I thought the whole idea of moving out here was so that we wouldn't meet up with the cops.

THE GROUP OF LAKESIDE CREW GRUNTS GET INTO A CAR AND BEGIN TO FLEE.

Perimeter team, we have potential escapees near the southwest part of the building headed your way.
CUT TO: WEST BEDROCK DISTRICT
EXT. BACK OF DRUG DEN - NIGHT
AS THE FLEEING LAKESIDE CREW GRUNT CAR IS ABOUT TO DRIVE AWAY FROM THE PARKING LOT, A POLICE SUV RAMS THE CAR FLIPPING IT OVER. MULTIPLE SQUAD CARS THEN SURROUND THE FLIPPED-OVER CAR AND POLICE OFFICERS POINT THEIR GUNS AT THE CAR FROM BEHIND THEIR DOORS.
[Police Officer#3]
(Over squad car speaker)
Exit the vehicle, get on your knees, and place your hands above your heads!
THE LAKESIDE CREW GRUNTS BEGIN TO EXIT THE VEHICLE CRAWLING OUT THROUGH THE WINDOWS. THE GROUP OF LAKESIDE CREW GRUNTS THEN TOSS THEIR WEAPONS AWAY AND PUT THEIR HANDS ABOVE THEIR HEADS. AS THE POLICE MOVE IN TO MAKE AN ARREST, HOTHEAD DROPS DOWN OUT OF THE AIR AND LANDS ON THE OVERTURNED VEHICLE WHILE SMOKING ON A CIGAR.

What the hell is he doing here?
ONE OF THE LAKESIDE CREW GRUNTS LOOKS BACK TO SEE HOTHEAD STANDING ON THE CAR.

Look at you lame-ass niggas running away from the cops. I always knew that the Lakeside Crew was soft. You fight until you die! You'll learn that working for me!

EXT. FRONT OF DRUG DEN - NIGHT
CHIEF RITTER AND HIS TEAM TAKE OUT THE REMAINDER OF THE LAKESIDE CREW GRUNTS. CHEIF RITTERS TEAM THEN BEGINS OFFERING FIRST AID TO ALL OF THE LAKESIDE CREW MEMBERS, CONFISCATING WEAPONS, AND PLACING NOT FATALLY MEMBERS OF THE LAKESIDE CREW UNDER ARREST. CHIEF RITTER BEGINS TO TALK INTO HIS SHOULDER RADIO.
