Rubik's Cube (Joshler)

Josh's POV ~

The sound of my phone ringing woke me up. I tiredly grab my phone. It's Tyler. Why is he still up? I answer despite how tired I am.

"Hello?" I mumble tiredly.
"...Josh?" It sounds like Tyler's crying which instantly woke me up fully.
"Tyler? What's wrong? Why are you crying?" all I could hear was soft sobs and sniffles.
"Tyler answer me please." I was starting to worry.
"I c-can't b-breathe Josh. I c-can't s-stop crying. I-i .." I wish I was with him.
"Shh it's okay ... Your okay."
More sobs and sniffles.
Mom wouldn't mind if I borrowed the car would she? Lets hope not.
"Tyler listen I'm coming over okay? I'll be there soon try to calm down okay?" I said while quickly putting on a shirt and grabbing my keys.
"O-okay... T-the d-door is locked b-but there's a k-key u-under the mat."
I put my shoes on.
"Okay I'll be there in 10mins see you soon bye."
"Bye." Tyler said shakily before hanging up.

I opened the front door and went to leave. "Joshua William Dun where do you think your going at this time in the morning?" my mom stood at the top of the stairs with her arms crossed over her chest.
I ran up the stairs to where she was at and gave her a hug "Tyler needs me." I said then gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Oh okay drive safe let me know if he's okay."

"Will do mom bye." then I left the house and hopped in the car. I backed out of the driveway and made my way to his house.

Once I was there I found the key Tyler was talking about and unlocked the door as quietly as possible so I wouldn't wake up any of Tyler's family. I quietly made my way to his room and opened the door.

All I seen was Tyler curled up in a ball crying on his bed. I shut the door and ran over to him. "Hey shhh shhh your okay. I'm here." I said while grabbing him and pulling him onto my lap. He gripped my shirt really tight making his knuckles go white. I rubbed his back and gently rocked us. "Shhh your okay" I kissed the top of his head.

I continued to rock us and rub his back while saying soothing things to him until I heard soft snores coming from him. I quickly grabbed my phone and messaged my mom.

Me: hey mom Tyler's okay now. He's asleep.. I'm going to stay here the rest of the night tho in case he wakes up and needs me again

Mom: okay sweetheart I'll see you tomorrow

Me: okay love you goodnight

Mom: love you too

I put my phone back in my pocket and hugged Tyler pressing him closer to me. I rested my cheek on the top of his head and fell asleep soon after.

When I woke up I didn't feel Tyler's weight on my chest, it was on my hips. I opened my eyes and he was straddling me just staring at me lovingly.

"Good morning." I said snapping him out of his daze. "Oh um good morning." I smiled at him then pulled him in for a kiss.

He laid back on my chest after.
"Josh?" his voice was muffled from being in my shirt. "Yes?" I said running a hand through his hair.
"I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry?" I asked with my eyebrows furrowed. "For last night." he said then started crying again.
"No no no no no don't cry. You don't need to be sorry about that."

"But you were sleeping when I called and I woke you up and-" I cut him off.
"Shh. Listen to me. I don't care what I'm doing, where I'm at or what time it is.. if you call me and you need me I'm coming to you. Okay?" I said hugging him tighter. He sniffled "okay."

".....Josh?" he asked again sitting up to look at me. "Yes baby?" he blushed at the new name. "Um thank you for coming over last night." he said playing with the hem of his shirt.
"Your welcome. I'll always come." he gave me a hug "promise?"
"I promise."

"We should get ready for school." I said after a few moments of silence.
Tyler groaned and held onto to me tighter. "No I don't want to"

"I need to get the car back to my mom so she can go to work." he groaned more dramatically. "No." just then his mom walked in. "Tyler I got to go to work-" Tyler instantly jumped off me. "Why is Josh here?" she asked confused.

"Um uh well .. Heh." Tyler couldn't form a sentence and he was blushing wildly."You know what I don't care just make sure you guys are at school on time."

"But I don't want to go." Tyler said flopping back on his bed. "And why not?" she asked putting her hands on her hip. "Because I had a bad night and I'm not in the mood for school."

"I don't care your going." she said sternly then left. I looked at Tyler and he was pouting at me. "What?" I said crawling over to him. "I don't want to go." I crawled on top of him holding myself up with my arms."me either but we have to."

He put his arms around my neck and I lowered myself down to kiss him. When I pulled away I got off the bed pulling him up with me. "Get dressed I got to get the car to my mom before she's late for work okay?"

"Okay.... Do you still want me to pick you up?" he said while walking over to his dresser. "Sure I'll see you soon." I gave him a quick peck on the lips then quickly made my way out to the car and drove home.

Once I got home mom said goodbye and left for work then I ran downstairs to get dressed. Tyler texted me halfway through getting dressed.

Tyler: I'm on my way now

Me: ok see you in a few mins

Tyler:okay

When Tyler arrived I jumped into the car and we were off to school. I had English first. Tyler had art. I really didn't want to be away from him but I didn't have a choice so I gave him a kiss on the forehead and made my way to English.

English was going pretty good so far it was about 15 mins into class. I had a small smile on my face it didn't last long tho. The teacher announced we would be doing a group project which means I'm going to be paired up with a random kid I don't know and then when the project is done I have to stand in front of the class with said kid and present. I could already feel myself getting anxious.

I zoned out after, thinking about stuff that could go wrong during this project when my name was called.
"Josh ...your partnered with Brendon... I know he's suspended at the moment but he gets back on Thursday and you guys can start your project then its not due til next Monday so you have Thursday Friday and the weekend to work on it."

My eyes went wide. No no no no I can't be partnered with Brendon. I could feel an anxiety attack coming.
"Um m-miss? M-may I-i b-be e-excused f-for a m-moment?"
She nodded her head and gave little wave with her hand signifying for me to go. I quickly got up and rushed out of the class.

I ran to the bathroom and locked myself in a stall. I couldn't catch my breath and I started shaking.

Tyler.. I need Tyler.

Me: Ty?

Tyler: yes?

Me: can you come to the bathroom please?

Tyler: why? Are you okay?

Me:... No

Tyler: whats wrong?

Me: ... I um
I'm having a anxiety attack

I could barely type from shaking so much.

Tyler: I'll be right there.

A/N ~ hello hello its 1am and I'm starving but I can't get food cause my mom will be mad if she wakes up and finds me still awake. Oh well. I should try to sleep. Love you! Bye❤
